Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr (PC) Platform: Windows 98, Windows 95 Condition: New This Title Also Available As: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Product Information 1 of 3 games expanding on the story of The Blair Witch Project Supernatural action/adventure game Play as Doc Holliday, lead investigator Collect evidence, investigate local legend, and analyze crime scene Use a host of weapons to defend yourself from mortal and spectral enemies Product Description Review Some enjoyed making up their own monster in the original film that spawned this game The Blair Witch Project Vol 1: Rustin Parr, others felt cheated. Just in time for the first sequel this Halloween, the game is intended to be part of a trilogy. The loading screen starts to set up the atmosphere with weird random freakish noises like children crying, but since the game requires 850Mb HDD space and isn't the fastest loader around, this soon becomes irritating. You control Doc Holiday--a female doctor rather than the male gunslinger--in her quest to unravel the mystery of the Blair Witch. The story setup and the training mission are combined into one. It is certainly the best time to get accustomed to the extreme third-person angles of the game, though Resident Evil fans won't have much trouble adjusting. You still have to readjust your control method because different camera angles cause different character directions onscreen although the controls remain the same, which is no real problem for Tomb Raider fans, but it's the second time one of the features of Blair Witch Vol.1 has been better executed elsewhere and your technique needs to be totally relearned. One nice feature however, is the first-person night vision, which is deliberately blurred to recreate the film's night video view feel. Since at least two more episodes are due for release by Gathering of Developers, don't kid yourself that it's all over when you get to the end. The game is average and open-minded gamers will give it a try, and persevere if they are fans of the other action/adventure series mentioned. If not, this game is a like-or-hate affair, just like the film, and shouldn't be bought without trying a demo first. -- Kenneth Henry Manufacturer's Description Set in 1941, the first adventure pits Government special investigator Doc Holliday against the ancient evil that drove hermit Rustin Parr to abduct and slay seven children in Burkittsville, Maryland. Along the way, she has to interact with stricken townspeople, investigate hidden legends and arcane rituals, and seek to unravel a twisted mystery that still haunts the town. Rustin Parr combines traditional adventure elements, research, exploration and puzzle solving plus a healthy dose of heart-pounding action to create a terrifying gaming experience.

Rayman 2- Platinum Range Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description A 3-D epic that blends fast-paced action and magnificent visuals unique to console gaming. Featuring the uncompromising hero who made his magical debut in 1995, Rayman delivers an unprecedented 3-D performance guaranteed to set new standards of challenge in the action arena. With terrifying moves and daring talent, Rayman navigates through 45 areas set across 13 magical environments in order to preserve his kingdom from a band of unscrupulous pirates. Review Transferred from the 2-D platform that we all knew and loved, Rayman 2 has successfully managed to make the transition to the realms of 3-D. Although offering no great leaps in the gameplaying world, it's nice to see a fun game that satisfies the small child in all of us. The challenge of the game is your standard 3-D platform idea. You play the infamous Rayman, who has been imprisoned by the Robo-Priates who have captured and enslaved your world. Your task, with the help of your friends, is to escape and save the planet through a series of puzzles and levels. The feel of this game is strange, as there are no new elements, and you possess the usual armoury of weapons. The genre isn't new either and at times you can see the combined forces of games such as Crash Bandicoot, Sonic and Mario all at work. But Rayman 2 manages to pull off the amazing feat of actually being a great game, and although you've seen it all before you can't help but play on. Everything has a lovely sheen in this game. The graphics are great, and boast details that Disney would be proud of. Everybody from Rayman's best friend Globox to the weird and wonderful Teensies all have their part to play as you go on your journey offering plenty of light comedy moments and you can't help but laugh when they begin to talk in some nonsense language only for Rayman to shout "Yahoo" at the end of everything. We have already seen games like this many times before, but this one has such an appealing gloss that you end up with a game that is better to play and beats its competitors. If you fancy the idea of sitting down to some addictive innocent fun then Rayman 2 is perfect for both children and adults alike.-- Stuart Miles

Sheep (PC) Brand New In Box (Sealed but sometimes supplied without film wrapping) THIS PRODUCT IS IMPORTED ON ORDER - PLEASE SEE "SHIPPING & PAYMENT" FOR DELIVERY TIMES Game Information Platform:   Windows ELSPA Minimum Age: 3 Media: Video Game Item Quantity: 1  See more system requirements Product details Release Date: 17 Nov Features: Arcade game for 1 to 2 players Guide your flock through 7 worlds, including Technopolis and Jurassic Artificial Stupidity (AS) simulates the unique stupidity of sheep 4 different herders: Bo Peep, Adam Half-Pint, Motley, and Shep 6 bonus levels Product Description ReviewWhen Lemmings threw themselves at our mercy on the computer screens all those years ago, it changed the industry. For some reason the idea of saving the little critters was so compelling that anyone who was anyone was staying up in the small hours of the morning to save that extra little fellow. Well the time has come once again. Not with Lemmings however, but with Sheep. That's right, those days of watching One Man and his Dog on a Sunday evening has finally come in handy. Playing one of four characters; Bo Peep, Adam Half Pint, Motley and Shep you must control the sheep around various courses to the pen at the end. Sounds pretty weird so far? Well it gets worst. Apart from the many obstacles like the sheep dip, the trampolines and the corn sharks to avoid, you have four breed of sheep to be content with, all having their very own traits. Choose from Modern Pastrol, Modern Factoral, long wool and Neo Genetics. This game shouldn't work, but like One Man and his Dog it does, and no matter how much you protested to not liking it, you found yourself screaming in outrage when it was taken off television. Sheep follows in the same strange fashion, after all where is the fun in herding sheep into a pen? But once the woolly jumpers have invaded your screen, there is no turning back. With crazy sheep, even crazier obstacles and gameplay that will have you whistling at the screen in a fit of madness, you can't but help to keep on coming back for more. --Stuart Miles Product DescriptionSheep came to Earth as advanced beings to observe developing life, but removed from their culture have become the mindless creatures we know today. It is up to you to guide them to Mt Mouflon for a rendezvous with their celestial ancestors. Herd your sheep through a plethora of puzzles without getting them bashed, boiled, blown up or blow-dried. Features advanced Artificial Stupidity programming and a charming visual style. There are four levels in each of the seven worlds, plus six bonus levels, four herders, and four increasingly stupid breeds of sheep. Light hearted and addictive, Sheep promises more fun for fans of games like Lemmings.

Wario World Platform: GameCube Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Deep within Wario World 's castle lies a treasure room filled with the spoils Wario has plundered during his many adventures. A mysterious black jewel, ensconced among the treasures, has a strange power to transform gems into monsters. While Wario rests upstairs the jewel begins to morph his treasure trove into a host of monsters, turning the basement of his beloved castle into a bizarre parallel universe. Awakening the next morning to monsters instead of treasure, Wario must step into that alternate world to win the treasure back. Review Wario has finally got his very own GameCube game, and Wario World, with its crazy beat-'em-up platform action, is just as manic as you'd expect. Seeing as he's thoroughly immoral, Wario isn't out to save the world or anything but to defeat the evil black jewel that has turned all his other treasure into monsters. He achieves this by running and jumping through a series of bizarrely themed levels, knocking seven bells out of any monster that comes his way. Although it does feature a number of Mario -esque platform elements (most notably a series of dungeon areas that work very much like the void levels from Super Mario Sunshine) Wario World is primarily a scrolling beat-'em-up. As with most such games Wario hasn't got many moves, though he's able to pick up bad guys and pieces of furniture and spin and throw them about in a very pleasing manner. Shallow as it may be Wario World is still entertaining, as you fight ever stranger looking enemies--the weird looking clowns in level two are particularly disturbing--and a particularly fine line in end-of-level bosses (not surprising considering the game has been developed by cult Japanese software company Treasure). But despite all that this is clearly not vintage Nintendo, being far too short and slight to be spoken of in the same breath as Mario and Zelda. -- David Jenkins

Silent Hill 4: The Room (Xbox) Platform: Xbox Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: PC from, PlayStation2 Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information A new Silent Hill adventure, where terror comes to your room Horrific new monsters, including spirits that can attack through walls Expansive areas to explore, including a forest, prison and hotel A cast of mysterious new characters and a new first person viewpoint Product Description Platform: Xbox Review Survival horror games don't get the recognition they deserve in the wider world. Whereas CGI effects have done nothing but make horror movies less and less scary, ironically video games, particularly the Silent Hill series, have been showing filmmakers just how it should be done for years. Irritatingly though the original PS one title remains the best of the series with the last two PS2 titles being little more than hi-res rehashes. The Room manages to shake things up a bit though, ditching the radio and flashlight gimmicks and adding twice the normal amount of side characters and a more involved fighting system. There's also a number of completely invincible bad guys and a new Resident Evil style limited slot inventory system. The room in question, as you're no doubt wondering, is in fact the toilet. Playing yet another everyman character you wake up from a rather disturbing dream to find out that you're locked inside your flat and the only way out is through a gateway to hell next to the privy. Which almost sounds like a BlackAdder joke, but is unlikely to have you laughing after your first trip. Within your flat the game uses a first person view, with the series' more traditional third person viewpoint taking over when you go through the portal. A series of weird lens filters and excellent (i.e. very unpleasant) sound lends a real otherworldly feel to proceedings, so that when things do choose to go bump in the night at you, you end up being very scared indeed. -- David Jenkins Manufacturer's Description With the Silent Hill series famed for its unsettling blend of psychological and visceral horror, Silent Hill 4: The Room turns the screw even further. Taking the series in a new direction, apprehension and fear immediately run high when the new main character, Henry Townshend, finds himself trapped in his own, cursed apartment. Only by exploring mysterious portals leading into disturbing alternate worlds will Henry begin to uncover clues as to why he is trapped. However, in true Silent Hill fashion, mysterious new characters, horrendous creatures and the undead will use any means necessary to impede his progress. A tense atmosphere and grotesque enemies will keep the player on edge as Silent Hill 4: The Room delivers a gameplay experience that fans and newcomers will never forget. Using all-new technology, the Tokyo-based development team has created a host of unique effects designed to add to the game's oppressive atmosphere. Players will notice changes in the environments as the alternate world begins to taint reality, while--in a massive first for the series--the action switches between the traditional third-person view and a new first-person perspective. Beautifully designed environments, a haunting soundtrack and a roster of macabre and misshapen monsters contribute to one of the scariest games you will ever play, as players travel between Silent Hill 4: The Room's central location and their worst nightmares...

Title: Micro Machines V3 Platform: Sony PlayStation Region: PAL Condition: Disc only   An overhead-viewed racer sounds like something out of the ’80s, and indeed in many respects, Micro Machines is a retrogame. Racing is ever so simple. The player chooses a Micro Machine — which range from racing cars and offroad trucks to big rigs and ice cream trucks — and races it over a series of weird and wonderful, differently-themed courses. A breakfast table mightn’t sound like a thrilling place to race, but when you’re a piddly Micro Machine, all of a sudden spilled milk becomes a lake, splotches of syrup become deadly sticky pools and spoons, bowls and bottles become building-sized obstacles. Another course is set on a series of school desks. Pencils, erasers and books form impassable obstacles, and the rulers connecting the desks form thin, perilous roads whose lack of guard rails means a deadly fall is only a spaz twitch away.
