Some light browning on front and back. Note, opened on top.  View scans for  condition as it form part of the description. (not 100%  sure whether this cover was part of the crash flight, it reached Paris only on 16 November 1932, most covers of this date, 27 Jan 1932,  was on that flight, due to the lack of info, thus the low price)  1932-01-29 B  Imperial Airways De Havilland DH 66 “City of Delhi” crashed in Northern Rhodesia on the official First Flight from South Africa to England.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA, not your average flight cover, Imperial Airways flight cover franked with stamps from GOCH, OFS, and Union, cover send to Athens, cancelled 1932 January 27, NOTE, most covers from this date to England were on the crashed flight in Northern Rhodesia, thus the possibility exist this was one of them, The date received in Athens seems to be 13 November 1932, view scans for condition as it form part of the description,  Cover opened on top, right side flap on back not glued on envelope and some spots. Please view scans, due to lack of evidence thus the low price.  1932-01-29 B  Imperial Airways De Havilland DH 66 “City of Delhi” crashed in Northern Rhodesia on the official First Flight from South Africa to England.  

  UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA  1st stamp of second pair stamp with "twisted horn" variety, first stamp of first pair with shaded or "coloured in" value tablet. Second stamp of second pair with "line" underneath "I" of "SUID". Stamps perf down, first pair is an arrow pair, as you can see. Stamps are all unmounted mint, light mount in the margin only.    SACC catalogue value for one pair unmounted with "twisted horn" variety is R6750 (R4500 + 50% for UM). Ordinary arrow pair catalogues at R1200 (inverted w/m & UM) + 10% for arrow pair.
