BLACK MASK Synopsis: Jet Li is the Black Mask. Michael (Li) was an integral part of Project 701, an experimental government program that created superhuman men and women and turned them into indestructible fighting machines. He escapes that dangerous world and instead works as a simple librarian, changing his name to Simon. But soon he is drawn right back in when his former master turns against the government that betrayed Project 701 and demands that Michael rejoin the squad to help carry out his evil plan to take over the Hong Kong drug trade. Directed by Daniel Lee, BLACK MASK is an action-packed comic book brought to life, filled with the requisite explosions, motorcycle stunts, black-and-white flashbacks, laser weaponry, killer CDs, and some major carnage. The terrific martial arts sequences were choreographed by the great Yuen Wo Ping, who was responsible for the fight scenes in THE MATRIX and CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON. Michael's final showdown with his former commander is electrifying--literally. Li's charming good looks and innocent smile lead the way in this exciting tale   Starring: Jet Li Daniel Lee   Category: Action, Martial Art   Age Restriction: 16 V

BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS x 2 =  BOER WAR = NATAL WAR ZULU WAR = NATAL NATIVE CONTINGENT = 2nd PHOTO. Copyright local History Museum   he Anglo-Zulu war was fought in 1879 between the British Empire and the Zulu Kingdom. Following Lord Carnarvon's successful introduction of Federation in Canada, it was thought that similar political effort, coupled with military campaigns, might succeed with the African kingdoms, tribal areas and Boer Republics in South Africa. In 1874, Sir Henry Bartle Frere was sent to South Africa as High Commissioner for the British Empire to bring such plans into being. Among the obstacles were the presence of the independent states of the South African Republic and the Kingdom of Zululand and its army. Frere, on his own initiative, without the approval of the British government and with the intent of instigating a war with the Zulu, had presented an ultimatum on 11 December 1878, to the Zulu king Cetshawyo with which the Zulu king could not comply, including disbanding his army and abandoning key cultural traditions.   Bartle Frere then sent Lord Chelmsford  to invade Zululand after this ultimatum was not met.  The war is notable for several particularly bloody battles, including an opening victory of the Zulu at the Battle of Isandlwana, followed by the defeat of a large Zulu army at Rorke's Drift  by a small force of British troops. The war eventually resulted in a British victory and the end of the Zulu nation's dominance of the region.   Sold as seen in the images. Taking its name from a popular series of mystery novels, Inner Sanctum Mysteries debuted over NBC’s Blue Network in January . Inner Sanctum Mysteries featured one of the most memorable and atmospheric openings in radio history: an organist hit a dissonant chord, a doorknob turned and the famous “creaking door” slowly began to open. Every week, Inner Sanctum Mysteries told stories of ghosts, murderers and lunatics. Produced in New York, the cast usually consisted of veteran radio actors, with occasional guest appearances by such Hollywood stars Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre and Claude Rains. What made Inner Sanctum Mysteries unique among radio horror shows was its host, a slightly sinister sounding fellow originally known as “Raymond.” The host had a droll sense of humor and an appetite for ghoulish puns, and his influence can be seen among horror hosts everywhere, from the Crypt-Keeper to Elvira. Raymond Edward Johnson was the show’s host until ; Paul McGrath took over as host until the show left the air in . Producer Hiram Brown would utilize the creaking door again in the s, when he produced and directed The CBS Radio Mystery Theater. CD# “The Voice on the Wire” and “Desert Death” CD# “Death Is An Artist” and “Death in the Depths” CD# “No Coffin For the Dead” and “The Bog Oak Necklace” CD# “The Black Art” and “Dead to Rights” CD# “Death Across The Board” and “Portrait of Death” CD# “Dead Man’s Deal” and “The Murder Prophet”   PAYMENT:  For your convenience, I gladly accept PayPal (5% PayPal fee added)     EFT / EBT is accepted PROVIDED buyer is agreeable to paying $USD International bank fee charged by BancorpSouth, USA.  Also accepted: Western Union and MoneyGram.  SHIPPING COSTS: See particulars under Shipping & Payment tab. Subtitle: Essays and Photographs Author: Eric Miyeni Photographer: Eric Miyeni With Author's Inscription Publisher: Pan Macmillan () Edition: First Edition ISBN-10: ISBN-13: Condition: Very Good - Laminate lifting from bottom back cover and from a small portion of the front cover edge, but otherwise in very good condition. Binding: Softcover Pages: 163 Dimensions: 23 x 18.7 x 0.9 cm +++ by Eric Miyeni +++ In October Eric Miyeni, accompanied by his trusty pen and camera, spent two weeks in Paris keenly observing the city's architecture, its history, its people and its culture. The result is an accomplished collection of essays and black and white photographs that are quirky, often poignant, quite astute, really funny and truly different in their take on the subject matter. For once the tables are turned in a positive way: an African is observing instead of being observed, and passing comment instead of being commented on.   A passion for books and a passion for collecting fine editions was the recipe that created the successful group of bookshops in Johannesburg called Bookdealers. The group started thirty years ago with one store in the quirky suburb of Yeoville and has grown through the years to a total of five shops, plus our online sales. Bookdealers is well-known for its collectable and used books. We also have a large variety of remaindered books sourced from around the world.  If you collect from one of our five branches there is no delivery charge. We also offer postal delivery (when available) and courier delivery, subject to a quote.

One of the most widely drunk beverages in the world, coffee is close to many hearts, and like wine, the area where it is grown affects the taste and flavour profile (along with other factors, including roast, freshness, and so on). Legado sources beans from all over the world, roasting them in sunny Stellenbosch. The Yirgachefe region is known for its clean and intensely floral coffees, grown in the high-rolling hills of South-Western Ethiopia. Ripe cherries are delivered to the mill, where they are graded and placed onto raised drying beds in thin layers and turned every few hours to avoid over-fermentation and mould growth. Six to eight weeks later, depending on weather and temperature, the dried cherries are then milled and defects removed prior to shipping. Tasting notes: floral aromas, bergamot, lime, spicy, black tea Use for filter coffee to discover wonderful wild berry and citrus notes; use for espresso and it takes on spicy characteristics like clove Freshly roasted within two weeks.
