These vines are a fine choice for the garden and a great sandwich and salad tomato. The tomatoes are sweet and yet have a full rich flavor. The plant produces beautiful tomatoes throughout the season. The fruits are dark red to brown with green and orange stripes.

They are a beautiful tomato, in looks and in flavor. They are shaped like a pear and have a very unique flavor - rich like fine chocolate. They are a work of art when sliced. Principe Borghese tomatoes are a favourite for sun drying because they retain their colour and flavour more than most other varieties. Principe Borghese tomatoes date back to the 1910s in southern Italy. The Spanish originally brought the tomato back to Europe after Cortez conquered Mexico City in the 16th century, and the climate in Italy allowed for many new varieties of tomato to develop with intense flavour.   INCA BERRY Physalis is a genus of plants that are native to warm temperate and subtropical regions throughout the world. They are herbaceous plants which are a relative of and similar to the common tomato.  The genus is characterised by the small orange fruit similar in size, shape and structure to a small tomato. The plant conveniently wraps up each fruit in its own 'paper bag' (botanically, the calyx) to protect it from pests and the elements.   The fruit is similar in texture to a firm tomato; the flavour is a unique pineapple-like blend with a mild refreshing fruity acidity, similar to strawberries. They may be eaten raw or used in salads, desserts and in jams and jellies. They go nicely with meats and other savory foods and can be dried and eaten much like figs, apricots or grapes.
