Why us? Some don't even make it out of the animal shelter's parking lot... for months, years, or the rest of their lives, becoming more withdrawn, depressed, or aggressive, putting a dog in an animal shelter may not be the best idea. Many less fortunate lost or abandoned animals end up in pitiful shelters that are nothing more than shacks without walls or other protection from the elements, where animals are often left to die from exposure, disease, or fights with other animals. Animals who are accepted into no−kill shelters may be warehoused in cages for months, years, or the rest of their lives, becoming more withdrawn, depressed, or aggressive every day, further reducing their chances of adoption. Conditions at some no−kill shelters are criminal. We want to help the dogs have a better chance in life, a meaning, being loved and cared for, we want to train them to have a better life with future owners. Living a happy life full of fun and adventure, with warm beds and a loving family. What we are looking for: Dogs between 2 months and 3 years old. Patch is about 2 years old. She lived her whole live in the shelter. I already fell in love with her and took her a few times on holiday. She is perfect, believe me. And I want to find the perfect home for her. She walk on the leach, even without and wont run away, she sits still in a restaurant, is good with other dogs an people and doesnt care about cats. I took her to the beach, to the forest and to sutherland, where we stayes on a farm with a few people. She was soo good! She wont leave your side. Patch loves to cuddle and to give kisses. we tought her to sit, she is smart;) I really want to find a home for her. she deserves it to be with a lovely familly and to have an awesome life. Shiefra is a gorgeous 3 or 4 year old female Husky. She was surrendered to the shelter when her owner passed away. Shiefra has a stunning, soft nature and she loves attention. She lived with a few other dogs, including a Yorkie, so we know that she is good with other dogs, big and small. She has a lot of energy, so needs a big yard with high fences. Shiefra is a heavy shedder and needs to be brushed at least once a week. She is also good with kids. Sokkies was rescued in Bloekombos, unwanted and abused. This sweet girl has not let this bring her down and is a very friendly chilled out girl who gets along well with dogs and cats. The vet was very impressed with how calm and collected this sweet 5 month old kitten is, she has tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids, has been sterilised and received her first set of vaccinations. For more information please email ANIWELL is a registered NPO () and PBO () that started its work in Goliath Estate, an informal settlement, in May . Since then ANIWELL has helped well over a thousand animals (and animal owners) in Grabouw, Eerste Rivier, Goliath Estate, Scottsville and Bloekombos through education, sterilisation, rescue, feeding, assistance with veterinary care, rehoming, behavioural advice and, sadly at times, euthanasia. Our mission is to implement sustainable animal welfare practices in the areas we work in, with a primary focus on sterilisation. We don't have a physical shelter, as we're a group of dedicated volunteers helping animals from disadvantaged areas when and where we can. Every cent raised goes to the animals that we serve.

Janie is a pretty medium size female Collie cross and is around 2 years old. She walks well on a leash and has a nice energy and temperament. She is a friend to all and will be a great companion for any family as long as they are somewhat active with a big yard and another dog friend. She is intelligent and will do good with an owner who will teach her further. Janie already has pretty good manners. She is excellent with other dogs and is currently in a pack of a few other females of all sizes and ages, including her best friend who she met at the shelter, Maya, a curly coated retriever (as seen in the photos with Janie). Janie enjoys playing with her friends and loves running around. She will make a fantastic hiking partner! What makes Janie a great dog is that she is a good size, you can put her in the back seat, she has good leash manners and she has great social skills, so you can take her anywhere with you and she will love it! WHITEY and BROWNIE are two beautiful Labrador X brothers both up for adoption. Their mom was surrendered to Chain and gave birth to these cuties. they have been waiting at Chain ever since with not one enquiry. I believe it is because they have had no exposure on social media or advertising sites. they are being fostered and are overlooked because people only see the dogs at the shelter. I have decided I will home them before Christmas. These two have loveely temperaments typical of labrador. friendly, happy, social and good with kids. However they are not as boisterous or large as Labradors. Much calmer and they are not chewers. They are medium size. Brownie is a bit more shy while Whitey is the more outgoing one. They dont have to be adopted together but it would be amazing if they were as they have grown up together and are very close. They are vaccinated and have been neutered.
