EXCELLENT CONDITION!!! Childcraft was created as a sort of encyclopedia for young children. With simple texts and illustrations, the volumes were designed to make learning fun. Each volume addressed different subjects, including literature — such as short stories and poetry, including fairy tales and nursery rhymes — as well as mathematics and the sciences. Starting out as seven volumes in the late s, the series was re-issued in a new edition every few years, sometimes incorporating new volumes and re-arranging existing ones. It grew to 15 volumes in the s, and remained there, though further changes were made in later editions.

Volumes 1-7 complete. These hardcovers are more than 100 years old. Volumes 1 & 2 printed during the time of the Anglo-Boer War, the rest following. All volumes have some foxing and browning to some pages. Name in ink in front. Many maps, portraits, battle plans and pictures. Nearly 450 pages per volume. Volume 7 is an index. These were loose volumes from collections making up a new collection now, so the spine colours not all the same. R100 postage in SA. R120 courier.
