Hello parents! My name is Kathryn and I am currently living in Gent, Belgium as an Au Pair to two Flemish girls of 5 and 6 years old. I'm absolutely loving my experience here and will be au pairing in Munich, Germany from the end of July 2016. My own parents live in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. I will be home from 15 June-23 July 2016 and I am looking for an au pairing/babysitting job for that time. English is my home language. I can also speak conversational Dutch, German and French. I have a Master of Arts degree (specialising in Linguistics) from the University of Cape Town and I recently finished a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course. Before I began au pairing in Belgium, I was working as the communications and events coordinator at a law firm in Westlake. I have a passion for learning and teaching. I have tutored two 9 year old girls - helped them with their homework for all subjects, practised English and Afrikaans reading with them and helped them prepare for tests and oral presentations. I have also assisted in a high school drama department for 5 years as an acting coach and I have done drama classes and choreography at a preparatory school. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, acting and directing, listening to music, crafts, hiking, cycling, travelling, baking and learning new skills. I love animals and discovering new places. I am a creative, caring, independent and reliable young woman with a passion for meeting people. I am outgoing, gentle and vigilant with a good sense of humour. I am 26 years old. I have a valid South African driver's license (I've been driving for over 5 years) but I will not have my own car while I am in South Africa. I am available full-time/part-time, live-in/live-out or as an occasional babysitter. My hourly rate is negotiable.
