People of faith are lined up in lanes all over this globe, batons in hand, running the race that matters most in this world-the divine relay The divine relay is tough. The track is treacherous. There are so many ways to mangle the exchange zones, to overshoot, to be knocked off the track, to drop the baton, to stop running. The church needs champion runners who never give up, who persevere no matter what they encounter, who run to win, unstoppable, no matter the cost. If we pass the baton of faith fluidly in the exchange zone from person to person, from generation to generation, we speed unstoppable toward the finish line. But if we fumble the exchange, the whole team, the whole church, suffers. Some runners even stop running and walk right out of the race. Discover just how important it is to get the "exchange zone" right, to ensure that no runners stop running and walk off the field, but that every runner becomes unstoppable in their dedication to carry their baton of faith to the next runner. It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 8 - 15 working days Eight hundred turbulent years of history are reflected in the now calm and delightful house and gardens of Michelham Priory. Founded in 1229 by Augustinian canons, the priory boasts the longest water-filled medieval moat in England, forming a substantial island enclosure of over seven acres. An impressive fourteenth-century gatehouse, built during the threat of French invasion, still guards the entrance, and the Prior's Room gives today's visitor the flavour of life in a medieval religious house. After the dissolution of the monasteries, the main domestic building became a Tudor gentleman's residence and was considerably enlarged into a handsome and comfortable home. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, when small estates became less economically viable, Michelham was run as a tenant farm. Today the Tudor reception rooms, the Elizabethan great barn, the working watermill and the forge all reflect Michelham s changing role with the fluctuations of history, while the glorious grounds offer a recreated physic and kitchen garden and a moat walk, and have developed into a significant wildlife haven. Features Summary Guide to this popular visitor site, with illustrations and text to bring the Priory's history to life. " Have you ever wondered what it would be like to grow up with the wilds of Africa in your back yard ?  Bill Taylor, the author of Wet Breams, was raised in East Africa. Although he was the son of a Seventh Day Adventist missionary doctor and was sent away to England, South Africa, France, and the United States for most of his formal education, he was allowed to run wild in the bush around his boyhood home. Wet Breams is an anecdotal collection of memoirs about his unusual life. Most of the stories are uproariously funny. They entertain like tall tales, but in Taylor's case, the stories are (mostly, I suspect) true. Take for example the time as a teenager when he managed to live for three months within a herd of elephants. In order to be accepted by the herd, he first had to take off all his clothes and cover himself in elephant dung. In this state, he then had to hang out around the edge of the herd for over three days before the elephants would allow him to walk among them. William Holmes Taylor holds a degree in Biology and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. The African bush is his passion and the place where he spends most of his time and energy. Dentistry is merely one of his on-again-off-again hobbies, a labor of necessity, not a labor of love.
