Usage: Step 1: You insert the comb box into a frame and 110 brown cell starter cups are fitted into the back of it.(With this kit you will be able to raise your own queens and do it without grafting or ever touching a larvae.) Step 2: Next you confine the queen in the front of cage and she immediately lays eggs in the 110 available cells.She can be realeased in the next day. On the 4th day each newly hatched larvae is ready for transfer. Step 3: You remove each cell starter cup and insert it into a cell cup holder(Not included). Step 4: You then slid this unit onto a cell bar holder which is attached to a cell bar(Not included). Step 5: To finish the cells you now put the cell bar into a cell building colony. The resultant 5 frame nuc swarms with laying queens are the offered for sale. How it works: Once our queen cells are ready, they are placed in 5-frame nucs where they emerge into the swarm. They are carefully monitored over the following 21 days to ensure mating has occurred and laying has begun. Thereafter, if brood is being produced in a satisfactory manner, the nucs are available for sale. We need 3 weeks notice for your swarm to be ready. You drop your clean brood box with roof and floor at the apiary and using our established frames with bees and queen, we settle them into the brood box. Once settled for 2 weeks you are welcome to come and fetch your established nuc. The price: R950 – we provide 5 frames with bees, brood and young, mated queen. Brood box is provided by customer.
