The position requires a qualified Diesel Mechanic who is able to achieve and persistently maintain high standards of workmanship and competence in performing tasks associated with preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance whilst maintaining high standards of Operational serviceability of Generators. Positions are available in Port Elizabeth and Cape Town Duties & Responsibilities Performs inspection, maintenance and repairs on motor vehicles and Generators (Mobile and Static Generators - 10KVA to 40KVA). Inspect brake systems, engines, etc Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts. Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components. Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment. Test-generators to ensure that they run smoothly. Keeps track of the maintenance work on the vehicles and generators by completing job cards. Repair parts and equipment when needed Minimum Qualifications required: Must be a qualified Diesel Mechanic Diagnose mechanical difficulties.
