This item is sold brand new. It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 7 - 13 working days If you?ve been concerned that the new generation of consoles has had relatively little in the way of new ideas, then LittleBigPlanet should be the game to restore you faith. It?s difficult to describe properly, which is a good thing, because it means it?s very different from the norm. Peculiar machines like this are the norm in LittleBigPlanet Although combat is a minor part of the game, there are some huge bosses Creating your own levels from scratch is as easy as playing them Objects can be made out of anything from wood to sponge, metal, and felt Amazing graphics bring the world of the main character, known as Sackboy, and his fabric-coated pals to life with realistic physics and a stunning level of detail. Played with friends it?s a great puzzle adventure, as you co-operate and compete across each level. The game?s trump card though is its customisation, not just the characters themselves but the whole game. It?s extremely easy to create your own levels, and the best fun is had simply setting up areas for mucking around and then sharing them online with other people.

Hearts of Iron Platform: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows Me, Windows XP Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Global map with all the nations between 1936-1946 Allows the players to modify and construct their own settings and campaigns Unique system to simulate political systems and their effect on neutral nations Change the course of war by getting super weapons and better production capabilities Historical generals and political leaders Thousands of real persons researched for individual detailed uniqueness over 100 different ground, air and naval forces Hearts of Iron enables players to easily meet over the net through a proprietary matchmaking service Product Description Review The market may be flooded with WWII games, but there's nothing that offers the scope of Hearts of Iron. This Grand Strategic war game puts you in the role of national leader, responsible for everything from appointing government ministers to forming political allegiances, controlling the direction of military research and directing operational-level military campaigns. The whole globe is up for grabs and you can jump in from 1936, before the political landscape of wartime has taken shape, or you can leap into the thick of things at 1939 or even 1941. You can take control of one of eight major nations, ranging from the obvious--Germany, Great Britain and Russia--through to the likes of nationalist China. You can also opt to play the role of any minor nation, though the challenge becomes very different as you are frequently forced to ally with whichever major force approaches your territory first and then hope for the best. The game will look very familiar to fans of Europa Universalis and its sequel. There's a good reason for this: Hearts of Iron is built on an adapted version of the engine. It drives the game's massive depth and scope, but also causes some problems. The interface is clunky at times and struggles to cope with the masses of information available. Also, the map territories don't always make a lot of sense. Perseverance is required, but also rewarded. The level of micro management is intense, but gives you full control. It ranges from choosing to research nuclear technology at the expense of building more advanced conventional military might to staging coups in opposing countries. You just don't get the chance to play out WWII at this level every day and that's reason enough to pick up this game, put up with its sometimes annoying foibles and revel in global conquest. -- Jason Weston Manufacturer's Description Hearts of Iron is the first ever World War II PC game of true Grand Strategic scope. The game map spans the entire world and allows players to take the War to any new front of their choosing. Any nation in the world is playable, but the game focuses on the epic struggle between the great alliances of the new world orders Fascism, Communism and Democracy. Hearts of Iron is developed by the team behind the award winning sales success Europa Universalis I and II and brings the same super detail to a modern day gaming experience. Hearts of Iron aims to be no less than the definitive World War II strategic experience.

Hitman: Contracts (Xbox) Platform: Xbox Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Action game set in shady underworld Eliminate bad guys all over the world Use stealth and firepower to achieve objectives Interactive environments include improvised weapons Product Description Hitman: Contracts delivers more action-packed and suspense-filled missions, with a greater variety of ways to make the perfect kill and an increased arsenal of firearms and close-combat weapons. A new graphics engine showcases your "work" in brutal detail and brings the new locations to life. An improved control system and more gradual learning curve will ensure that the game is accessible to all aspiring hitmen. Hitman: Contracts takes you into the mind of Agent 47, the most ruthlessly efficient contract killer in history. The game begins in Paris as Agent 47 finds himself wounded and trapped in what is a dangerous situation, even for him. Hitman: Contracts explores the dark psychology of killing for a living and promises to be the most disturbing episode in the series. Review With its winning mix of action, strategy and stealth, Hitman Contracts marks a successful third entry in the franchise, and has some neat new tricks up its sleeve. That said, the core of the game is still fundamentally the same as before. You take the role of a genetically modified hitman who from the off finds himself in deep trouble, holed up in a tight spot surrounded by people who want him dead. The reasons why become clear as you play your way through a series of flashbacks, some of which draw heavily from the previous games in the series. Fortunately, the similarities also stretch to the gameplay, which is by turns taut, tense and violent. The game gives you plenty of freedom in choosing how to tackle the various missions you're presented with, and particularly in the early stages it's tremendously good fun working out the best way to achieve an objective. There are a couple of drawbacks: the game is a little shorter than might be expected, and it is more of an evolution from previous adventures than a independent sequel. But these are minor niggles, especially when you consider that this is the best game to date in the Hitman franchise. It's going to be interesting to see how creators Io Interactive develop the series, but for now they've given us a healthy dose of what's gone before, and made it a little better. -- Simon Brew

Pro Evolution Soccer 2 Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Like its PS2 cousin, the PSone version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2 shows refinement in every respect. The game's versions of the world's greatest players now benefit from smoother animation and greater realism, while a faster game engine allows for faster turns and movement. Likewise, Konami has enhanced the player AI routines, with players making greater use of space and making intelligent runs into space and past defenders. The PSone game also features updated player rosters, with 64 sides--from Senegal and Cameroon across the globe to Italy, Germany, England and other European greats. Pro Evolution Soccer 2 also boasts a number of hidden "classic" teams that are unlocked on completing certain tasks and can then be selected from the main menu. Review Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is the latest edition of the greatest, most addictive footy sim series. Sticking to the principle that playability comes first, detail and frills second, the series all but guarantees season upon season of pulsating gameplay. Fans of Pro Evolution will naturally have a few gripes about this update. There has been some notable tampering with the terminology: "injury time", for example, is now "loss time". More annoyingly, the club teams have been renamed beyond recognition. Manchester United has been rechristened "Aragon", while the mighty Real Madrid becomes "Navarra". This shouldn't detract too much from what is a lovingly rendered simulation of the beautiful game. Opponents and computer-controlled team mates have been blessed with more intelligence this time around and players' skill sets more accurately reflect their individual stats. This version is harder to master than its predecessor but it is still accessible to newcomers thanks to far-reaching multi levels and changeable speed settings. Once familiar with the gameplay, gamers of all abilities will undoubtedly be hooked by the intensity and realism of the action. With a fantastic range of competitions in which to test their skills, gamers can play as one of 32 club teams in the Master League or compete in a plethora of international cups and leagues. And, at last, recognisable commentators are at the mic: Peter Brackley sits alongside Trevor Brooking although it soon becomes apparent that the pair's repertoires are even more limited than in real life. Frustratingly, Konami has raised the bar for soccer sims while tampering with some key details and features. But despite the few minor flaws in this update, Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is another sure step on the road to football gaming perfection. -- David Thwaites

Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit (U) Platform: Windows 98, Windows 95 Condition: Pre-Owned/Used in Very Good Condition This Title Also Available As: New: Brand New and Sealed games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Pre-owned games supplied with applicable serial keys. However - please note: Any single use keys or activation codes may have already been used/redeemed. Product Information Use radar, dispatchers, and roadblocks to track down speeders. Multiplayer racing in all game modes. Add to your personal showroom from the NFS3 site. Race on 8 challenging tracks. 3-D accelerated graphics. Product Description If you're searching for the ultimate racing experience for your PC, look no further than Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit (U). The classic driving game is back, and better than ever, so hit the streets in one of 11 immaculate supercars. All-new licensed cars for this instalment include the Aston Martin DB7, Ferrari 550 Maranello and the Lamborghini Diablo SV. With the ability to download more exclusive vehicles from the Need for Speed Web site, there will always be something new to test drive. For multiplayer enthusiasts, NFS3 supports up to two players with a modem or serial connection or up to eight players with a LAN connection. As if that wasn't enough, the already stunning graphics have been improved, with an even higher level of attention to detail that includes blowing leaves, smoke from the burning rubber of tyres and amazing weather effects such as rain, lightning, snow and fog. Finally, there's an all-new hot pursuit mode where you scorch the streets on either side of the law: elude the fuzz as a speeding motorist or enforce justice from a police patrol vehicle. Racing doesn't get any better than this. Review Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit (U) puts you behind the wheel of cars as prosaic as the Corvette and exotic as the Lamborghini Diablo. And--in case taking the vehicle of your dreams out for a high-speed spin isn't enough--you can race that car against computer opponents, other players, and the law. The game has a something-for-everyone design, with an excellent range of racecourses and customisation options. Racecourses can be altered to different times of day and weather conditions, varying their level of challenge. The game has a strong commitment to realism, going to extremes to differentiate the cars in appearance, control, and even engine noise. Driving uphill or on rough terrain has predictable (and frustrating, if it costs you a lead!) effects. Pursuit mode, where you can either run from or become the police, is entertaining and heightens the stakes credibly. Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit (U) is not without minor disappointments, chief among them being the lack of an Internet play option (although you can link players over modem and network). Additionally, some of the course shortcuts fail to deliver their promise as time-savers. It also comes with a virtual airbag--no crash is really terminal. This is a common feature of race games, but a strange convention--it contrasts starkly with the game's realistic driving features. You can strike a road sign, spin out and smash a competitor, or even hit a cliff head-on at 120 mph, and none of these accidents is fatal to the car or driver. Instead, players may back up, turn around, and floor it, in hopes of making up lost time and winning the race. -- Alyx Dellamonica Pros: Over a dozen high-performance cars Fantastic track design Innovative pursuit mode Customization options Cons: Weather has little effect on handling Cars don't show damage when bumped or crashed

If you've been concerned that the new generation of consoles has had relatively little in the way of new ideas, then LittleBigPlanet should be the game to restore you faith. It's difficult to describe properly, which is a good thing, because it means it's very different from the norm. Played with friends it's a great puzzle adventure, as you co-operate and compete across each level. The game's trump card though is its customisation, not just the characters themselves but the whole game. It's extremely easy to create your own levels, and the best fun is had simply setting up areas for mucking around and then sharing them online with other people. Key Features Unreal reality: There's never been a game that looks like this, with ultra cute characters but realistically modelled physics and materials from wood to sponge. Co-op fun: Co-operate with up to three friends, as you run, jump, and swing around each level and overcome the cunning puzzles and dangerous enemies. Everything changes: Every single element of the game is fully customisable from your player character to each of the levels and all of the objects within them. Mad scientist: Create your own unique levels and change the properties of any objects to make Sackboy mincing traps or huge machines that can move whole levels. Eye see you: Use the EyeToy camera to further customise your game with special stickers that allow you to add your own photos to any level. About the Developer: Media Molecule After working on games such as Black & White and Fable, a group of ex-Lionhead Studios employees formed Media Molecule. The Guildford-based studio rose to frame through the independently produced Rag Doll Kung Fu, but their first retail game is LittleBigPlanet.
