  J POSTMUS ONE POUND SOUTH AFRICAN BANK NOTE 1st ISSUE DATED 4th SEPTEMBER 1939   This a rare find and not easy to find   This issue of the bank note bears the Serial Number A/92 965783 and is printed in both English and Afrikaans. It has a watermark of Van Riebeeck's portrait. The note classed as a VF as it has minor folds and rust marks. The fold that is shown in the photograph does not show on the note. I really don't know how this fold appears here.
