Manfrotto Geared Head (Black) 400       Overview   The Manfrotto 400 Deluxe Geared Head is a heavy-duty head designed primarily for use on studio column stands or larger tripods, and for use with large or medium format cameras. It offers the ultimate in precision 3-way geared adjustment and control. Self-locking foldaway cranks allow 360° panning, +30° and -90° of frontal tilt & +/- 7.5° of lateral tilt. Side to side levelling is controlled by a separated handle. The bubble level aids in precise positioning. The availability of three different heights of quick release plates eliminates the nuisance of interference of camera standards, which is critical for use of fast wide angle lenses. In addition, the tension holding the round quick release plate can be released to allow fine adjustment with complete safety. This is a Manfrotto 190 Pro Aluminum Tripod with 804RC2 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head Kit. The all-aluminum chassis, leg tubes, and flip locks combine into a stable camera support that holds up to 8.8 lb and reaches a maximum height of 69". This kit is great for shooting photos and videos with precise angle adjustments using DSLR and smaller medium format cameras. The 190 Pro has a tilting center column that easily disengages from the chassis upon its full extension. This 90° horizontal tilt combines with the tripod's low-angle leg setting to enable extremely low setups for macro photography and more - you can get as low as 3.3" from the ground. The Manfrotto 804RC2 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head with RC2 Quick Release Plate has an ergonomic design and counter spring system. It is made of is a unique polymer, Adapto, that is comparable to aluminum in strength but weighs up to 50% less. It has superb resistance to extreme temperatures and will not corrode or oxidize. The 804RC2 head is also one of the the first 3-way heads to use a counter spring system to help protect your equipment. Built into the forward/back tilt axis is a fixed spring that helps to absorb the shock of the full camera weight from crashing down. The spring also makes it easier to position the camera on this axis since it opposes some of the camera weight.
