The 190 Pro has a tilting center column that easily disengages from the chassis upon its full extension. The Manfrotto 804RC2 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head with RC2 Quick Release Plate has an ergonomic design and counter spring system. It is made of is a unique polymer, Adapto, that is comparable to aluminum in strength but weighs up to 50% less. It has superb resistance to extreme temperatures and will not corrode or oxidize. The 804RC2 head is also one of the the first 3-way heads to use a counter spring system to help protect your equipment. Built into the forward/back tilt axis is a fixed spring that helps to absorb the shock of the full camera weight from crashing down.
