Experience the exhilaration of flight! Learn to fly with a structured and relaxed approach. If you are unsure of small aircraft and your ability to accept flying in one, then experience an Introductory Flight with a professional flight instructor. Your instructor will spend an approximate hour, one on one with you going over the aircraft using a checklist approach followed by a brief and then takes you to the skies where you will be able to handle the controls and get the feeling of this exciting way of life. This is a basic introduction where you are exposed to the procedures of flying rather than a lesson in flying. You will be allowed to take control of the aircraft but only during flight and not for take-off or landing (at the pilot's discretion of course!). You will participate with the general handling of the aircraft and learn the technical jargon in terms of the flaps, left and right etc. Your flight path takes in the best of Hartbeespoortdam and the scenic route this follows. This activity is for one person and takes place at Lanseria Airport (Gauteng), 6 days per week, subject to availability and ideal weather conditions. No experience necessary. All flying is subject to the pilot's discretion. Please collect a permit from the permit office before entering gate 9 @ Lanseria and please take your ID book.

Join us for a 30 minute introductory flight and enjoy spectacular aerial views of the stunning countryside. View the beauty and tranquility of the Magaliesberg. Relax and absorb the peaceful nature of the African cliffs and bush and experience the ultimate with a micro light flight! Aerospace admirers will enjoy a safety brief followed by the flight – just enough to get the adrenalin pumping before landing with your feet firmly on the ground. More about the micro light - During the late 1970s and early 1980s, many people sought to be able to fly affordably. As a result, many aviation authorities set up definitions of lightweight, slow-flying aero planes that could be subject to minimum regulation. The resulting aero planes are commonly called ultra light or micro light, although the weight and speed limits are rarely the same between any two countries. In most affluent countries, micro lights or ultra lights now account for about 20% of the civil aircraft fleet. Ultra light/micro light aircraft were once regarded as "flying clotheslines", since early aircraft were typically completely open, wire, tube and rag aircraft – these aircraft were seldom used for anything more than local area flying. However, ultra lights are rapidly transforming into high performance aircraft, capable of very respectable speed and range. In recent years there has been a dramatic rise in the number of General Aviation pilots flying high performance ultra lights due to the cost benefits. Powered paragliding (PPG), Motorised paragliding or Paramotoring as it is called in different places, is a revolution in the world of aviation. This amazingly simply and safe way of flying is taking the world by storm! We fly tandems on many of Cape Town's beaches and wineland areas for the same price as free-flying! The Paramotor is like an aircraft engine, except worn backpack-style and designed to change a paraglider wing to a Powered Paragliding (PPG). We often take clients for standard or epic, long flights in the early mornings and late afternoons. Give it a try, you will love it! This activity takes place in CPT, 7 days per week, subject to availability and ideal weather conditions. No experience necessary.

An adrenaline surge that is un-paralleled! Experience a scenic flight over Gauteng in a vintage WWII aircraft. The deHavilland D.H. 82 Tiger Moth was developed from the D.H. 60M Gipsy Moth. First flown in October of 1931, the D.H. 82 faced stiff competition to become the basic trainer for Britain's Royal Air Force (RAF). However, after the trials were held, the Tiger Moth emerged the clear winner, with 35 of the craft being ordered. Given that the Tiger Moth had not been the easiest to fly among the competitors, with a degree of sloppiness and slowness in response to control inputs, one wonders whether the design succeeded despite or because of those factors. Some have argued that those factors highlight poor piloting technique without seriously endangering the student pilot, a process that would enable instructors to identify and correct the fledgling pilot's deficiencies early in a training program. Flights depart from Rand Airport (Johannesburg) and are subject to ideal weather conditions. Please note that there is a maximum weight limit of 110 kgs for this flight.
