Bulls Blood beetroot is a magnificent dual purpose variety known for its deep red coloured leaves. This old variety has been used for both ornamental and culinary use since Victorian times. It was listed pre-1900 in England and is probably the only decorative-leafed Victorian beetroot variety surviving. This useful crop can be used at any stage of growth, harvest the leaves for baby leaf, in mixed salads or use steamed like spinach, or the roots can be left to grow like any other beetroot. Today, Bull's Blood is the variety used by the commercial growers for both baby leaf and mixed salad leaves. The leaves are broader than other beetroot varieties, more flavourful than other red accent crops, they can be harvested for baby leaf salads in as little as 35 days. Left to mature they have a particularly sweet taste when cooked, while the medium-sized spherical roots are tender and have a great flavour especially when young. Harvest in 60 days.   Please familiarise yourself with the shipping info below Shipping Rates are as listed below Approximate processing and transit times are listed below PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA

TATSOI BRASSICA SPP The spoon-shaped, dark green, evenly spaced leaves form a plant worthy to be grown for its decorative value, given enough room and cool conditions the plants will form beautiful wide rosettes, of regular, concentric circles. Tatsoi is suitable for both baby leaf and whole head production, it can be harvested anytime during growth, young leaves are especially delicious with a mild mustard flavour and good crunchy texture. It has a wide variety of culinary uses that range from using the leaves raw in salad mixes, in soups and in Oriental stir-fry. They have a more robust flavour which many consider to be superior to Bok Choy. Tatsoi matures from seed in only 45-50 days and is able to withstand temperatures as low as -10°C. It will often continue to grow throughout winter, and can even be harvested from beneath snow, making it one of the best vegetables to grow in a cool climate. Harvesting: >21-28 days for babyleaf, 45-50 days to maturity Tatsoi can be harvested at almost any stage of its growth. If large leaves are not important, just flavour, you can grow the plant to the baby stage (4-6 leaves) and harvest the entire plant at about 3-4 weeks. As the weather starts to warm in spring the leaves tend to grow upright. If Tatsoi is to be harvested on a cut and come again basis, use the largest leaves on the outside and leave the smaller ones towards the centre to develop further. It can then be left to grow again for a second or more harvest. Tatsoi grows more slowly than other oriental brassicas. It is a good idea to give the plants a good drink of water and/or liquid fertilizer after each picking. Known as "Tah Tsai" in China, Tatsoi or Rosette Pak Choi is among the most popular of oriental greens. Tatsoi is a non-hearting oriental mustard with spoon shaped, dark green leaves which are not only full of flavour, but very tender. VIEW OUR OTHER ITEMS:

Dietes is a genus of rhizomatous plants of the family Iridaceae. Common names include Fortnight lily, African iris, Morea or Moraea iris, Japanese iris and Butterfly iris, each of which may be used differently in different regions for one or more of the four species within the genus. Most species are native to southern Africa, with one (Dietes robinsoniana) native to Lord Howe Island off the coast of Australia. Dietes bicolor is a clump-forming rhozomatous perennial plant with long sword-like pale-green leaves, growing from multiple fans at the base of the clump. This species belongs to the Iridaceae (Iris) family. It can form large clumps if left undisturbed for years. The blooms are yellow with three dark purple spots, each surrounded by an orange outline, and are followed by a capsule that may bend the flower stalks to the ground. The leaves of Dietes bicolor are narrower than those of Dietes grandiflora and Dietes iridioides, and tend to arch more. Ideal for everything from a healthy mid-day snack to movie night with friends, this hot-air popcorn maker prepares hot, crispy popcorn in less than five minutes. Simply add one full scoop, using the included measuring cup, place a large-size bowl (not included) under the spout, and flip the switch to on. The unit leaves behind virtually no unpopped kernels, and its angled chute does a good job of directing popped corn into the bowl. Because it works with hot air instead of oil, theres not the high fat or oil content to worry about. That said, theres no reason the popcorn cant be doctored up with seasoned salt, brewers yeast, spritzes of soy sauce, or other toppings, including the classic favorite of melted butter. In fact, the measuring cup, which sits in the lid, doubles as a butter dish. Just add the desired amount of butter or margarine (the heat from the popping process will gently melt it) and drizzle over the popped popcorn. With its easy-to-clean design and small footprint, the -watt popcorn maker measures 7-1/2 by 5 by inches       Features + -watt popcorn maker prepares hot, crispy popcorn in minutes + Uses hot air instead of oil; virtually no unpopped kernels left behind + Angled chute directs popped corn into a bowl (not included) + Measuring cup doubles as a butter melter; easy-to-clean design + Measures 7-1/2 by 5 by inches

Cheiridopsis namaquensis 10 seeds Cheiridopsis is a genus that consists of 100 flowering succulent perennial plants, native to semi-arid regions of Namibia and southern Africa. Most are clump-forming, a few are shrubby. The leaves are opposite and triangular in section, rarely flattened, the surface more or less velvety, which makes them easy to distinguish from species of the allied genus Argyroderma. The Cheiridopsis are easy to grow. These plants grow in winter rain-areas and head for dormancy in summer. Requires little water, otherwise its epidermis breaks (resulting in unsightly scars). Regular water in autumn through to spring. Water minimally in summer, only when the plant starts shrivelling but it will generally grow even in summer if given water. Requires good drainage. Keep cool and shaded in summer, needs full sun or light shade. Hardy to -2°C (or less) Sow seeds from early autumn to late autumn in 12.5cm or even 10cm pots. Seeds can be sown directly on top of the soil, it's not necessary to cover the seeds with a layer of soil. After sowing the seeds directly onto the soil, wet the soil using a fine spray. Cover the pot with clear plastic (I use cling wrap) and fasten it with an elastic band. Pots should be put in a shaded (40% shade-cloth) spot. Seeds should start germinating after a couple of days. Remove the plastic a few days after the seeds have started germinating, if left on to long rot will kill off the seedlings.
