What's the guy's problem, you ask? He's playing the wrong game. Only NHL Rock the Rink lets players get away with moves like that: body slam your opponent to the ice, feed him a fistful of leather, drop him like a rock with a wicked clothesline, or check him out of his skates. It's 3-on-3 (plus goalies), arcade action with no rules and tons of scoring. Half the fun is uncovering the unbelievable new ways that you can score. Tak and the Power of JuJu (PS2) Platform: PlayStation2 Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Description Tak and the Power of JuJu (PS2) Review Tak and the Power of JuJu is a cartoon-styled action platformer. Like most action platformers it has a cute main character, an ineffectual bad guy and lots of running and jumping over...platforms. The problem for any new platformer appearing today is that it's such an old and long-ago-mastered genre that any new game has got to have something pretty special in order to stand out. Tak 's primary attempt at a unique selling point (apart from the fact that it was made in conjunction with Nickelodeon) revolves around the various animal-based puzzles (all the villagers have been turned into sheep by the aforementioned bad guy) created by various inter-species rivalries (orang-utans hate sheep for some reason) and bribery with food. This aspect of the game can occasionally be inspired but unfortunately the solution to each puzzle is rarely less than obvious. The rest of the game is strictly by-the-numbers, with inconsequential combat, an obtuse camera system and far too many objects to pick up. Tak and the Power of JuJu is by no means a bad game--it is in fact a slightly above average game--but it's unlikely to enthral unless you've really not played this sort of thing before. And if you haven't then the likes of Jak II, Ratchet & Clank 2, Ape Escape 2 and ICO come much more highly recommended. -- David Jenkins

This item is sold brand new. It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 7 - 13 working days The most innovative game of is ready to hit the Nintendo DS and you can be certain you've never played anything quite like this before. The idea is actually pretty simple: you control Maxwell who's trying to gather some typical video game collectables called Starites from a bunch of horizontally scrolling levels. Looks like a saw of some sort might be useful here Just imagine it and you can bring anything into the game Just type in the word garlic and see how this guy reacts A bigger source of light should come in handy here What's not so typical is the way he does it, by summoning almost any object you can imagine just by scribbling down its name. So, for example, if you think a ladder or a trampoline might help you out then just write their names on the touchscreen and they'll magically appear. The game understands tens of thousands of different objects, from tanks to tornados and tumble driers to black holes. Many can be used together, with one memorable solution involving time travel, a dinosaur and robot zombies. This truly is a game that's only limited by your own imagination.

Napoleon: Total War - Gold Edition (Mac) Platform: Mac OS X Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Unrivalled Total War Gameplay ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ Command your troops in real-time and manage your faction in the turn-based campaign map. New Multiplayer Campaign ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ Play online with or against friends for the fate of Europe. Three Theatres of War ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ Follow Napoleon¿¿¿¿¿s career through the Italian, Egyptian and Grand European campaign maps. Advance weaponry enables new tactical options and even more exciting real-time battles on an epic scale, while the highly detailed environments and improvised buildings guarantee a realistic recreation of famous historical battles. Product Description Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is a great sequel to the first PSone Spider-Man game, capturing web-slinging action as it was meant to be portrayed. The story follows the plans of that nefarious, electricity-spewing bad guy Electro. After a training level that familiarizes you with the game's controls (and new abilities such as the web-grab, in which Spider-Man can send out a web and pull an object towards him), you must web-swing around New York City and stop Electro, his goons, and various other villains from Spidey's infamous rogue's gallery, including the Shocker, Hammerhead, the Sandman, and the Lizard. Review PSone gamers have been eagerly awaiting the return of the webbed superhero. And while Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is a game with problems, it's still good fun for wannabe superheroes. The plot sees you attempting to save New York from the hands of Electro, whose voltage is higher than ever with a bad attitude to match; to save the day, you've got to explore, swing across the skyline, jump from rooftop to rooftop and take out the bad guys. But be prepared for a challenge--this is a hard game, sometimes frustratingly so, and, compounded by tetchy controls, it's going to take some getting used to. Yet for those who make the effort, it is good fun to play. The training mode and the first level offer help in breaking in the less experienced player, and once you get going, it's hard not to get into the swing of things. There are various boss characters to take out (a job you can make easier by fully utilising the versatility of those spider's webs you fire) and their henchmen can invariably be disposed of with the enhanced kick and punch combos. Ultimately, a perfect Spiderman game this is not, and for the inevitable third Spidey adventure, there's certainly work to be done. But take this for what it is--a flawed but enjoyable action game--and chances are you'll enjoy it more than you expect to. -- Simon Brew

James Bond: The World Is Not Enough Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Employ stealth, espionage action, and overwhelming fire power in each mission Full arsenal of Q-lab gadgets including x-ray glasses, grappling hook watch, cufflink camera, and more Over 10 exciting missions in exotic locations Follow the plot through real-time 3D cinematics based on the movie Stunning graphics and visual effects Product Description Playing as James Bond, you will accomplish mission objectives based on the settings and plot of the MGM feature film. Use your License to Kill--and an assortment of Q-created weapons (cufflink lasers!)--to put down any bad guy in your sights. Ski, drive, and run through 10 different single-player missions. The game features two levels of difficulty, which will surely present a challenge even to double agents. Review If you've played EA's previous James Bond game on PlayStation, Tomorrow Never Dies, you probably won't be looking forward to The World Is Not Enough. However, although it could most accurately be described as GoldenEye -lite, The World Is Not Enough (TWINE) offers a much more satisfying experience than the previous effort both graphically and gameplay-wise. As you might expect you play the part of 007, and the action is viewed from a first-person perspective. As each levels begins you are given a set of objectives by M and these have to be completed before you can proceed. These tasks mainly involve shooting as many bad guys as possible with a variety of satisfyingly chunky weaponry, but there are also skiing, driving, gambling (one of the most fun) and stealth levels. With the latter utilising some neat gadgetry provided by John Cleese's R (the only actor from the film actually voicing his character in the game). The game follows the plot of the film very closely, with 10 levels being linked by extensive movie footage. An experienced gamer will not have too many problems finishing TWINE in a few hours, and the extensive violence makes this game unsuitable for younger players, but most James Bond fans will find much to entertain them in this diverting romp. -- Michael Bartley
