Product Description Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is a great sequel to the first PSone Spider-Man game, capturing web-slinging action as it was meant to be portrayed. The story follows the plans of that nefarious, electricity-spewing bad guy Electro. After a training level that familiarizes you with the game's controls (and new abilities such as the web-grab, in which Spider-Man can send out a web and pull an object towards him), you must web-swing around New York City and stop Electro, his goons, and various other villains from Spidey's infamous rogue's gallery, including the Shocker, Hammerhead, the Sandman, and the Lizard. Review PSone gamers have been eagerly awaiting the return of the webbed superhero. And while Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is a game with problems, it's still good fun for wannabe superheroes. The plot sees you attempting to save New York from the hands of Electro, whose voltage is higher than ever with a bad attitude to match; to save the day, you've got to explore, swing across the skyline, jump from rooftop to rooftop and take out the bad guys. But be prepared for a challenge--this is a hard game, sometimes frustratingly so, and, compounded by tetchy controls, it's going to take some getting used to. Yet for those who make the effort, it is good fun to play. The training mode and the first level offer help in breaking in the less experienced player, and once you get going, it's hard not to get into the swing of things. There are various boss characters to take out (a job you can make easier by fully utilising the versatility of those spider's webs you fire) and their henchmen can invariably be disposed of with the enhanced kick and punch combos. Ultimately, a perfect Spiderman game this is not, and for the inevitable third Spidey adventure, there's certainly work to be done. But take this for what it is--a flawed but enjoyable action game--and chances are you'll enjoy it more than you expect to. -- Simon Brew
