BRIAN FINCH with THE ELEVATORS SAT 1 NOVEMBER 7.30PM LEGENDS SHOWCASE VENUE, 42 STEWART DRIVE, BEREA TICKETS R120 AT LEE GOLD MUSIC (CASH ONLY)  CASH BAR. PRE-BOOK YOUR LEGENDARY BURGER (R35) AT LEE GOLD Brian Finch, legendary South African singer-songwriter and entertainer of note, is on tour again and will be playing at Legends Showcase in Berea, on Saturday 1 November. Finch is currently touring South Africa and Namibia to launch and promote his thirteenth album, ‘Living for Yesterday’. The album has been three years in the making, a response to the demands of fans for a new CD. Says Finch: ‘While living in the town of Prince Albert, over the past couple of years, between touring and performing at many gigs, I have been writing.  One needs new material and I love coming up with new songs - it is what my life is all about – and being able to share special times with all my fans gives me great satisfaction.’ Finch recorded this album at the Peace of Eden studio near Knysna, with Howard Butcher as producer. He says that it was a wonderful experience – the new songs, the support he felt and the musicians who joined him all made for a very successful production – and he ‘cannot wait for the response from fans’. ‘The years are flying by so fast, I realise that all my songs are about ‘living for yesterday,’ jokes Finch, then soberly adds, ‘I have dedicated this album to the memory of the late Mr Ken E. Henson – RIP my brother!’ ‘My tour begins in JBay - living for yesterday in Jeffreys Bay, where I spent many good days  surfing - then we go on to Grahamstown, East London, Richmond, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Then home for a rest before touring to Namibia.’ Local East London musicians Themi Cooras, Cheryl Minkley and Greg Wild (The Elevators) will join Brian for the Grahamstown and East London gigs. Tickets (R120) for the East London show are on sale at Lee Gold opposite Checkers in Nahoon. Burgers will be served at interval and must be prepaid for when you buy your tickets. Finch, a great entertainer, knows how to get his audience ‘into the mood’ and his last shows in EL have been totally sold out, so be sure to buy your tickets before the week of the show arrives! The CD ‘Living for Yesterday’ will be sold at all Finch’s gigs, or can be ordered by emailing
