Metasequoia glyptostroboides  Bonsai Seeds Metasequoia glyptostroboides commonly known as Dawn Redwood is a fast-growing, critically endangered deciduous conifer and is the sole living species of the genus Metasequoia and one of three redwood species. It is native to the Sichuan-Hubei region of central southern China. Although it is the shortest of the redwood family, it grows to at least 61m in height. It was only discovered in 1943 and due to World War 2 was not studied further until 1946 and only finally described as a new living species, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, in 1948. Only one natural forest containing around 5400 trees is known to exist. Dawn redwood has proved an easy, fast growing tree in temperate regions, and is now widely planted as an ornamental tree. Planted specimens have already reached 25–40m in height and 1–1.3m in diameter, despite being in cultivation for less than sixty years. It is tolerant of air pollution and very hardy, down to lows of -32°C and is very tolerant of soggy, water-logged soils as in the wild it is adapted to growing in flood plains. In drier regions it must be grown adjacent to a body of water such as a pond or stream. On offer is a pack of 10 Seeds

Delonix regia is a species of flowering plant from the Fabaceae family, Caesalpinioideae subfamilia, noted for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of flowers. In many tropical parts of countries around the world it is grown as an ornamental tree and in English it is given the name Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant. It is also one of several trees known as Flame tree. The Royal Poinciana is found in Madagascar's Madagascar dry deciduous forests. In the wild it is endangered, but it is widely cultivated elsewhere. In addition to its ornamental value, it is also a useful shade tree in tropical conditions, because it usually grows to a modest height but spreads widely, and its dense foliage provides full shade. In areas with a marked dry season, it sheds its leaves during the drought, but in other areas it is virtually evergreen. It makes a beautiful bonsai specimen.   Leucadendron is a genus of about 80 species of flowering plants in the family Proteaceae, endemic to South Africa, where they are a prominent part of the fynbos vegetation. They are evergreen shrubs or small trees growing up to 116 m tall. The leaves are spirally arranged, simple, entire, and usually green, often covered with a waxy bloom, and in the case of the Silvertree, with a distinct silvery tone produced by dense silky hairs. The flowers are produced in dense inflorescences; they are dioecious, with separate male and female plants. The seed head is a woody cone-like structure, containing numerous seeds; the seed morphology is varied and reflects subgeneric groupings within the genus. Growing up To 2m, very narrow leaves, bright yellow involucral bracts in Spring, endangered. Sow Autumn. USDA Zone - 8 Season to Sow - Autumn   Please familiarise yourself with the shipping info below Shipping Rates are as listed below Approximate processing and transit times are listed below PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA
