2007 paperback with 434 pages in good condition. R50 postage in SA. Inscribed and signed on front page by Pinard.                                                                                                                                                          A narrative that has its roots in the dark Middle Ages of Europe, and the brutal Roman Catholic inquisitions! Will history repeat itself? A saga of the persecuted French Huguenots, Jacques Pinard and his wife, Hester, who find refuge at the Cape of Good Hope in 1688. Almost 300 years later, a distant relative and son of Africa, Rueben Pinard, stumbles upon his French Huguenot heritage. His subsequent supernatural awakening to the faith of his forefathers and his prophetic calling. A vision, beginning with the powerful prophetic utterance: "You must go to the land of your ancestors!" An end-time scenario. A mysterious Jewish remnant. History repeats itself - a place of refuge. The Holy See, Opus Dei - a Personal Prelature. Apollyon/Abaddon - the 'Beast' of the last days - the man of sin. Global persecution of Christians. Implementation of Satan's seal of ownership - the infamous 666! The Great Tribulation. Battle of Jerusalem. The Return of the Son of Man with power and might! Thy Kingdom Come! Jesus' 1000 year reign from Jerusalem. Although the theme of this book is classified as fiction, a portion of the content is semi-autobiographical. The balance is premised upon certain Biblical, historical and contemporary facts. The backdrop being the last book in the Bible: the book of Revelation. Through the medium of faction (fact and fiction), the author weaves a realistic and exciting end-time drama around the book of Revelation. His purpose is to encourage everyone, everywhere, to read the last book of the Bible. The book of Revelation is the 'roadmap' of prophecy for these the last days! The author, together with his wife lives in Franschhoek (French Corner), South Africa, where theyadminister an end-time prophetic Internet ministry. They are committed Christians and are respectively 8th generation French Huguenot and Dutch religious refugee descendants. Because of this they have a rich Christian heritage. Therefore, the blood of the martyrs runs 'thickly' through their veins.

Landmarked, Land Claims & Land Restitution in South Africa By Cherryl Walker Soft cover in very good condition The year 2008 is the deadline set by President Mbeki for the finalization of all land claims by people who were dispossessed under the apartheid and previous white governments. Although most experts agree this is an impossible deadline, it does provide a significant political moment for reflection on the ANC government’s program of land restitution since the end of apartheid. Land reform (and land restitution within that) remains a highly charged issue in South Africa, one that deserves more in–depth analysis. Drawing on her experience as Rural Land Claims Commissioner in KwaZulu–Natal from 1995 to 2000, Professor Cherryl Walker provides a multilayered account of land reform in South Africa, one that covers general critical commentary, detailed case material, and personal narrative. She explores the master narrative of loss and restoration, which has been fundamental in shaping the restitution program; offers a critical overview of the achievements of the program as a whole; and discusses what she calls the “non–programmatic limits to land reform,” including urbanization, environmental constraints and the impact of HIV/AIDS. Cherryl Walker is a professor and the head of the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Stellenbosch. She was the Regional Land Claims Commissioner in KwaZulu–Natal from 1995 to 2000. She is the author of Women and Resistance in South Africa.

In Daniel Vilmure's powerful first novel, two brothers take off on a rampage through a seedy Florida port town on a hot August night. The older one is illiterate; one moment he is hypertense, ready to snap, the next, he is James Dean cool.  His kid brother - the one with the sense - goes along to save him but in the end is no match for such hell-bent momentum. "A gratifying first novel.  The talent of the author, who was born in Tampa in 1965, shines in the book's compelling imagery, irony and framing device.  His vivid, terse language aptly embodies the hard-driving, violent drama and makes us feel we are running through the night with these brothers driven by a painful loss of innocence, and fate"  New York Times Book Review. Soft cover, fairly good condition, although the cover is bent in places.  225 pages, all intact.
