The large incubator setter has 4 compartments (we only utilised 3 of the 4 compartments) each holding a trolley that can accommodate eggs (for a total capacity of eggs). However if the eggs are very large the capacity is reduced. Eggs are placed in the setter for 18 days at 37.5 Degrees Celcius and 54% humidity and turned automatically every hour during this time. All this is done with the electronic controller system. Plastic egg trays included. The hatcher has two trolleys each holding 16 hatching baskets that can hold up to eggs. We modified them to have washable material lids to stop chicks from jumping out and getting injured. Chicks start hatching on day 21 and then held in the machine for a further day to dry off and get strong. During this time the eggs are placed on baskets lines with non slip material and kept at a constant temperature of 36.5 degrees Celcius and 65% humidity.

Grade A Vaccinated Broiler And Layers Day Old Chicks Available For Sale, The farm currently accommodates 17 breeding sites into which flocks of 7,000 breeder chickens are placed every 62 weeks in a 5-week cycle. Breeders are reared according to strict technical specifications. At an approximate age of 22 weeks, the breeders have matured and started laying eggs. These eggs are transported to the chicken hatchery where, after disinfection and grading, they are placed in setters for a period of 18 days. They are then transferred to the hatchers for 3 days in order to complete the hatching process.
