Each eyepiece features a four-element design with a 52º apparent field of view. The lenses are fully multi-coated to improve light transmission and protect the optics. The 17 mm Plossl eyepiece offers a nice medium magnification view in most telescopes, and the 6 mm Plossl provides high magnifications, great for the Moon and planets, especially when seeing conditions are good. 2x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - The included versatile 2x Barlow will double the magnification of any 1.25” eyepiece. The 17 mm Plossl included in this kit will double in power, effectively becoming a 8.5 mm eyepiece, and the 6 mm will provide the magnification of a 3 mm. It’s also fun to use this filter when observing Jupiter. Celestron Universal Digiscoping Adapter The Celestron Digital Camera Adapter places your various point-&-shoot digital cameras close to the eyepiece of your spotting scope. It has a clamp for the eyepiece and various location adjustments so that you get the digital camera centered exactly where it needs to be for the best images with high resolution and no vignetting. As with all digiscoping, it is far easier to align the digital camera's lens with the scope's eyepiece when that eyepiece has a broad, flat rear element-making a bigger target for the camera's vision to fit within.To describe here exactly which cameras work with this is simply impossible, but for some guidance...the shortest distance between the tripod socket and the center of the eyepiece is approximately 1.26" (32mm), while the longest distance between the center of the eyepiece and the tripod socket is approximately 2.91" (74mm). The tripod socket can be as far as approximately 2.12" (54mm) to either side of the center of the eyepiece, so as long as the distance between your camera's tripod socket and the center of its lens is less than this it should likely fit.As with all ventures in the world of digiscoping, you'll need to employ good technique and good equipment to get good pictures-which means a sturdy tripod and secondary support for the camera if possible, a sensibly-high shutter speed for the digital camera and as much care as is possible to prohibit camera movement.
