Celestron Astrofi 130 Telescope Product Info Celestron is not only changing the way we experience astronomy, but we're also changing the way you interact with the night sky. The astro fi 130 mm newtonian is a fully featured telescope that can be controlled with your smart phone or tablet using the free celestron skyportal app. Celestron’s skyportal app replaces the traditional telescope hand control for a 100% wireless experience. Just hold your smart device up to the night sky. When you find an object you’d like to view, tap the screen. Your astro fi telescope automatically slews to the object, while the screen displays information about it. It’s never been more fun to explore the universe! The astro fi 130 creates its own wireless connection, so it can communicate with your device even in remote locations where wifi or cellular networks aren’t available. Getting ready to observe is quick and painless thanks to celestron’s award-winning skyalign technology. Center any three bright objects in the eyepiece, and your telescope calculates its position. You can even generate a sky tour of all the best celestial objects to view based on your exact time and location. Celestron Solar Filter For Nexstar 6SE Product Info Celestron Solar Filters are made with Baader Astro Solar™ Safety Film. Far superior than any existing glass, Mylar or polymer filters, they lead to brighter, sharper, and higher contrast images. Enter the new millennium with the finest solar filters available. Astro Solar™ Safety Film is clear and homogenous and attains the optical performance of high quality plane-parallel glass filters—it is diffraction limited! Double-sided metal coatings have uniform density and good color balance across the entire field ensuring razor sharp images from edge to edge. The Sun appears in its “real ”color —neutral white, not blue or orange, and the sky adjacent to the solar limb is jet black. You can see detail in sunspots, bright faculae near the limb and the mottled areas known as granules with these filters. The Sun offers constant changes and will keep your observing interesting and fun. Even small aperture telescopes can enjoy features of the Sun. The Astro Solar™ film is completely safe and durable (won‘t break like glass if dropped). Its rating is ND-5 which means that the film transmits of visible light (.001%) while reflecting (blocking) %of unwanted light. The film absorbs all ultraviolet rays while coating reflects infrared light rendering both absolutely harmless. Package Contents: Celestron Solar Filter For Nexstar 6SE

Celestron Observers Accessory Kit Product Info The Celestron Observer’s Accessory Kit is a great way to expand the functionality and enjoyment of your telescope. Inside the plastic, foam-lined carry case you’ll find these accessories: 17 mm Plossl Eyepiece - mm Plossl Eyepiece - x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - A Blue Filter - Red Filter - 1.25” Moon Filter - 1.25” Microfiber Cleaning Cloth Eyepieces - The 17 mm and 6 mm Plossl eyepieces can be used in any telescope with a 1.25” focuser. Each eyepiece features a four-element design with a 52º apparent field of view. The lenses are fully multi-coated to improve light transmission and protect the optics. The 17 mm Plossl eyepiece offers a nice medium magnification view in most telescopes, and the 6 mm Plossl provides high magnifications, great for the Moon and planets, especially when seeing conditions are good. 2x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - The included versatile 2x Barlow will double the magnification of any 1.25” eyepiece. The 17 mm Plossl included in this kit will double in power, effectively becoming a 8.5 mm eyepiece, and the 6 mm will provide the magnification of a 3 mm. Any other 1.25” eyepieces you already have will also work in this desirable accessory, giving you even more magnification choices. Remember, high magnifications do not always produce clear, sharp results, especially on evenings of poor or moderate seeing conditions. Experiment to find the magnifications that are best for you and your telescope. T-threads are machined into the top portion of this Barlow lens, allowing a user to attach a camera with the addition of an optional T-ring. Instructions for attaching your camera are included with the Observer’s Accessory Kit. Filters - Colored filters bring out certain details on a planet’s surface or its cloud structure. Both planetary filters, as well as the Moon filter, can be used on any 1.25” eyepiece with the proper filter threads. Just screw one onto your eyepiece of choice and slide it into the focuser. The #80A is a medium-blue filter that enhances the contrast of the cloud belts on Jupiter and the polar ice caps on Saturn. It also can be used to increase contrast on the Moon if you don’t mind the color shift. The #25 filter is a deep red color and is a good choice when you want to define the polar ice caps on Mars. It’s also fun to use this filter when observing Jupiter. The #25 Red filter blocks quite a bit of light coming through your telescope, however, so it is best used on bright objects with larger aperture telescopes. The Moon filter is one of the first accessories most new amateur astronomers buy, and for good reason! It helps block out a portion of the light the Moon sends into your eyepiece so you can see details better. You can also try this filter on Venus; it blocks enough glare so that the planet’s phases can more easily be seen. Cleaning Cloth & Case: Keep the microfiber cleaning cloth stashed in your Observer’s Accessory Kit so that it will always be handy. Use it to safely remove fingerprints and smears from your optics without leaving residue behind. Remember to blow or brush any dust particles off of your optics before rubbing them with the cloth. The black plastic carry case has die-cut foam inside to protect and cushion your accessories. Keep each one in its appointed place when not in use and you’ll keep them looking and performing like new. The case is large enough to carry a few extra accessories safely. Package Contents: Celestron Observers Accessory Kit 17 mm Plossl Eyepiece - mm Plossl Eyepiece - x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - A Blue Filter - Red Filter - 1.25” Moon Filter - 1.25” Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

This item includes free delivery within South Africa. SO)CELESTRON ULTIMA Degree Celestron s popular Ultima 80mm Zoom Spotting Scope offers images that are noticeably brighter and sharper than entry level 60mm spotters. The Ultima 80 is a refractor style spotting scope with an Achromatic objective lens. Excellent light transmission is assured by multi-layer anti-reflection coatings on the objective lens as well as on the zoom eyepiece and the BAK-4 prisms. The multi-coated 80mm objective lens delivers 77% brighter views than a 60mm scope, and the built in zoom lens produces sharp images from 20X all the way up to 60X magnification. The Ultima 80 features a sleek, waterproof design and includes a padded soft case with zippers on both ends so the scope can be protected even while mounted on a tripod. Including the eyepiece the Ultima 80 measures just over 18 inches long and weighs about 3.6 pounds. The rubber eyecup can be removed to expose a standard T-thread for attaching a camera. I like the 45* angled eyepiece because I can use a shorter tripod to support the spotting scope while viewing or while taking pictures with a small camera attached to the eyepiece. The focus ranges from 27 feet to the horizon with just a few turns of the focus knob. When I fold down the rubber eye cup I can keep my glasses on and see the whole 2 degree field of view at 20X magnification. With my glasses on I need very little focus adjustment while I crank the zoom eyepiece from 20X up to 60X. Sometimes though I like to take my glasses off while observing because the view seems to have just a little more contrast and sharpness. I like the fact that the Ultima 80 gives me a sharp image either way. The drawback of the tradition crown and flint achromatic lens used in the Ultima 80 Zoom Spotting Scope is a bit of false color, also known as blue fringing or chromatic aberration. Blue fringing seems well controlled at 20X magnification, but it becomes increasingly noticeable as I zoom up to 60X. Celestron also offers the Ultima 80ED and the Regal 80 F-ED spotting scopes which use exotic ED glass lenses to virtually eliminate blue fringing and produce the sharpest possible high power views. See beautiful clear views of the the night sky, the rings of Saturn, Jupiter's moon, The Jewel Box cluster etc with this professional grade telescope.   This is NOT a toy!  Total weight 26 kg.   The Celestron Omni XLT 120 Telescope offers even more brightness and aperture than its sibling XLT 102-it is a superb 4.7" refractor for the price, complete with Celestron's StarBright XLT coatings. The Omni XLT 120's excellent and contrasty images are appealing for observation, and the scope's also ready for some imaging duty, too. The focuser is the larger 2" size, to allow you to take advantage of some delicious wide field star viewing should you ever upgrade to an optional 2" diagonal and longer 2" eyepiece. Unlike altazimuth-mounted scopes, the Omni XLT's quite viable for astrophotography; it has a T-mount adapter, and when augmented with the optional dual axis motor and polar axis finder can achieve brilliantly sharp long-exposure images of the faint objects such as nebulae. The XLT 120 features the CG-4 manual mount, which doesn't require batteries. Rand for rand, the choice of the CG-4 manual mount over motorized mounts will be advantageous to purists who are eager to learn the sky map. It can be a rewarding experience.
