Recently "rediscovered" negatives of photographs taken in District 6 at the time of its destruction in April/May . Ronnie Clift took the photographs and has printed them this month (Nov ), limiting them to only 3 prints of each. Each is for sale mounted (mount size 500mm x 400mm) with the photograph size being 350mm x 250mm at R each. They are black & white prints and are not digital images, but rather "photographs printed the old way" on an archival double weight fibre paper that will stand the test of time, ie not fade. Photographs of District 6 are rare, but those taken at the time of its destruction are even rarer and much harder to obtain. Either would be ideal to frame and hang in a place of your choice to create a memory of a part of Cape Town that is no more. At the time of Destruction, District 6, April/May . This came from a farm in the Bathurst district. It has been un opened, with a lable from the Art studio in Cape Town on the back. The period Oak frame is carved and beautiful. The picture is in pencil, you can see paper texture and rubbed hi lights in the eyes with a magnifying glass. This should be a museum piece. The ID of the people is unknown, but are, judging by clothing, from 's or a touch earlier. Awesome item. Shipping R100.
