 Original T34 captured Russian tank metal pressings that were supposed to have been used to make the SOUTHERN AFRICA Medals..The metal was found to be unsuited for the purpose and instead a small amount of melted metal from the tank was mixed with nickel silver to produce the medal. These 2 pressings are part of the original attempt to make the medals.RARE.See Medal Year book for more information.
