SPIRIT is a super special male Border Collie cross who was rescued from horrific conditions. He had such severe mange that he has almost no fur left, he has scared, didn't trust people and he was just skin and bones. Now Spirit is a happy, healthy and fat boy who just loves life! He has been estimated by a vet to be 3 or 4 years old. Spirit has received specialized training and has great manners and a perfect recall, no leash needed! He is very intelligent and loves to please. Due to the border collie in him, Spirit needs a lot of space to run and play and will do good in any active family who will love him. Adoption fee: R750 includes 1st injection, de-worming, an IdentiPet microchip and castration.

We rescued this sweetheart from an abusive home. I do not want to take him to the spca etc. He deserves a loving home and really wants to be a lapdog. Toby is about 8 months old and we aren't sure how which shots he has had but very healthy and strong dog. He has been dewormed and de-flead. I don't know how he would react to cats but loves our female dog. He I think needs to be the only pet. We have toddlers and he is completely used to them. Meet Oliver, as we decided to call him, as this poor boy does not even have a name. Life has not handed Oliver a fair hand. At the tender age of two he finds himself chained in a township. Yes, he was given away by his previous owners to someone in the township!! Oliver is a friendly boy, but not to be homed with cats, free range chickens or birds. Oliver is quite the escape artist so a very secure yard with high walls will be needed. Strict home-check and nominal adoption fee applies (to cover cost for sterilization, vaccination, microchipping, parlour fees etc. which is used to assist other rescued animals in need) and subject to approval. When my car stopped today to help this boy, he couldn't wait to climb into my car and that is weird as dogs like this usually take days or even weeks to catch and then they are in an emotional bad state, where as this boy seems to be OK-ish mentally just totally broken outside...he sure deserves a chance??? PETPALS DESPERATE PLEA!   This is an absolutely desperate plea to help us find Sailor and Ferdie a forever home. Sailor is a boy of just under a year old, he was rescued through PETPALS, and Ferdie is a girl of just over a year old, she was rescued through AWS, Helderberg. Both dogs are in foster care together, and have formed an extremely tight bond - they play, eat and sleep together. We therefore want to home them together, if possible. They are in a foster home with several other dogs, but they have chosen each other as soul mates for life. How sad if we had to separate them. They cannot stay in their foster home too much longer, and it will be heart wrenching to bring them back to a kennel environment after having spent several months in this amazing home. We beg you to share their plea and help us find them a home. A home with no small dogs, or young children would suit them well. Here's hoping that Red is one of your favourite colours because he is certainly a favourite amongst the Aniwell fosters. Red was rescued with his sister Scarlett from Checkers Cobblewalk where they had spent their lives. Red is a very special boy, he only has three paws but somehow that extra bit has been added to his personality. He took about a month under the watchful eye of his foster mom to bloom into a very sweet, affectionate, trusting soul. He loves to play and can be found climbing up and down the scratch poles and cabinets all the time. This gorgeous boy is about two years old, has tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids, been sterilised and received all his vaccs up to date.  To adopt Red please email .
