MELISSA'S ORANGE PEKOE TEA IN SOUTH AFRICA
This tea originates from the Darjeeling district of West Bengal in India, and is grown at a medium elevation of about 1000m. The term Orange Pekoe was introduced by the Europeans as a grading term for teas that were exported to Europe. Some myths exist that this system was introduced to specify the quality of tea sold to the Dutch Royal family, the House of Orange.
