JUNIOR ANDROID DEVELOPER IN SOUTH AFRICA

We are looking for a Junior Android/Java developer to to work on ongoing projects we have. Responsibilities: Help new products and advance existing ones. Use the best development techniques to get the job done – this includes keeping up to date with latest technology practices. You will be working with and learning from excellent senior developers. Writing and self-testing quality code components – this includes managing our component library and making use of available tools Reporting status, risks and issues to the Development Lead Assisting with testing of software components and development of automated test cases. This is a great position for a junior developer looking to extend his skills and work on cutting edge projects. Preferred Skills: (Not Essentail) Ability to write clean, scalable and readable code GoodAndroid/Java knowledge Good practical knowledge of Google Play Services Experience developing Background Services on Android Experience building with location aware apps will be an advantage Experience working with Google Maps API aware apps will be an advantage Experience working with Google Play Activity Recognition will be an advantage Ability to work as an individual or in a team environment Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) Preferred Skills: Experience working within Agile environment Experience with Java design patterns Knowledge of Android Studio The main app we need a developer for is a location services application. This position can be a part-time or full-time position and you will be working with a international team of developers and QA agents.
