Heliopan 39mm Dark Yellow Filter (703904) Product Description Heliopan￯﾿ﾽs premier 39mm Dark Yellow Glass Filter is primarily used to heavily, bump up contrast and tonality on black and white films. The strongest of the 3 contrast filters Heliopan offers; the Dark Yellow Filter significantly darkens skies, helps cut through haze, and increases overall contrast. This filter creates an exceptionally robust image and extremely useful for clear contrast between blue sky￯﾿ﾽs and foreground. Filter Factor: Approximately 4x (+2 Stops). Constructed from the highest German Schott Optics, which guarantees incredible optical resolution. Our glass is specially ground and polished to minimize internal reflections, while ensuring that the quality of your images are not degraded by using our optics in front of your lens. It is also specially hardened to resist most impacts. Our standard 8-Layer Multi-Coating minimizes reflections and does not interfere with the resolution of your camera optics. Our precision cut brass ring ensures a secure and sturdy fit, are more resistant to side impacts, and less likely to bind or cross-thread after extended use. And, should this filter not be sufficient, an orange filter is recommended, followed by red, which will provide maximum contrast with black and white film. Enhances landscapes, marine scenes and aerial photography with more dramatic effects than Yellow 8 and is extremely useful for clear contrast between blue sky with clouds and foreground.
