The Art of the Illustrator (Boxed Set). Bradshaw, Percy V Published by The Press Art School., London In folio the work of 20 famous illustrators. The whole contained in it's original lidded box. (Box in very poor condition)This measures 11x 17 x 6 inches. Grey-green cloth backed construction with reinforced edges and flapped lid. Lettering very faded gilt with central gilt floral wreath enclosing the letters "PVB" (only just visible). The box contains twenty folders, one for each artist. Each folder contains a portrait of the artist, a description of his style of work and then a more detailed examination of a particular piece in six production stages. Each stage is illustrated on a loose leaf mount.
