EL PASO HANDMADE WESTERN SADDLE IN PORT ELIZABETH

Beautiful Handmade El Paso Western Saddle having to part ways with a reluctant owner. I received this saddle as a gift from my father 23 years ago. We lived in the Freestate at the time and the wide open grasslands with the backdrop of Platberg made me feel like a real cowboy as I raced my horse Midnight, the dust occasionally stinging my eyes, trying to catch my dad up ahead. The smile on my face as broad and beautiful as the horizon up ahead. I never had a fall from this saddle so despite its superior quality and comfort, the beautiful carvings and the snug feel, it is probably for this reason that it is my favourite saddle of all I had ridden on and possibly the only one that can make that claim. Yes, I came off quite often and I only wish the old saying was true as I would have had a farm by now but then again the State would probably be queuing up to grab it as it is relatively unused and the only signs of work would the plough marks left behind by my body so in hindsight it is probably a good thing. The time has come to say goodbye and I hope that there is a dad out there that will gift this saddle to his young son because today, more than ever, a boy needs to feel like a cowboy again and you can help him to do that.
