It is recognized by its wiry, usually drooping spikes, and it can be quite dramatic in the garden. Common names include Angel’s Fishing Rod, Harebells, Fairybells, Wedding Bells, Fairy Fishing Rod and Wandflowers in English and Grasklokkies in Afrikaans. Dierama dracomontanum commonly known as Drakensberg Wandflower is a South African indigenous species from the Eastern Cape, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal Provinces. It is a clump forming plant that forms corms underground and will grow from 45 cm to 1 meter in height.
