This Jumbo version has a wider 115mm platform than the standard Benriner Mandoline Slicer which allows for slicing of bigger produce like large onions. It only has a single blade so is suitable only for slicing, if you require the ability to be able to produce julienne slices etc. then you will need one of our other mandolines. The Benriner Jumbo Mandolin Slicer has a razor-sharp blade but includes a handy safety guard to prevent painful encounters by ensuring your fingers aren't caught on the blade, this also doubles as a prong for holding your produce firmly in place whilst slicing. The blade can be re-sharpened. We recommend purchasing a cut resistant glove if you have any concerns about using sharp blades and this appliance should be kept away from children. The body is made from heavy grade ABS plastic and is dishwasher safe.
