Shannon was rescued in Eerste River. She was abandoned and hanging around in somebody's garden who asked us to help so we took her into foster care. She is out of quarantine now and available for adoption. She is about 10 months old, has tested negative for feline aids and feline leukemia, was sterilized and vaccinated. The first few days in foster care, Shannon was very scared and unsure of what was happening but with time, lots of love and attention has come out of her shell beautifully. She has become very social and runs and plays with her foster brother a lot. She is extremely affectionate and like to cuddle on your chest and comes to look for attention. Here's hoping that Red is one of your favourite colours because he is certainly a favourite amongst the Aniwell fosters. Red was rescued with his sister Scarlett from Checkers Cobblewalk where they had spent their lives. Red is a very special boy, he only has three paws but somehow that extra bit has been added to his personality. He took about a month under the watchful eye of his foster mom to bloom into a very sweet, affectionate, trusting soul. He loves to play and can be found climbing up and down the scratch poles and cabinets all the time. All our rescue cats get tested for Feline Leukaemia and Feline Aids and although there is always a risk of any virus being in incubation period at the time of adoption, we try and limit risk by testing and therefore minimising the heartache of possibly losing and/or infecting a beloved pet. Kittens without moms get tested from 7/8 weeks. We vaccinated for Leukaemia as well and all our animals leave adopted after being sterilised, vaccinated, dewormed, deflea'd and microchipped. Roux was picked up in the veld and brought to us in a box. We took him to the vet and sterilised him after testing. He is a shy boy but beautiful with the biggest eyes. He is a biscuit colour. He loves to play with his friends, in particular little Felix, another kitten. Roux is in foster care in Bellville. He is also microchipped.

Taylor is a very sweet loving girl who was given up by her owner, Andries with a heavy heart. He loves her so much but was so concerned for her safety living in the settlement that he asked us to please take her in and find her a safe home as much as it pained him to do so. Taylor is about 5 months young, tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids, been sterilised and received all her vaccinations to date (incl for feline leukemia). Sokkies was rescued in Bloekombos, unwanted and abused. This sweet girl has not let this bring her down and is a very friendly chilled out girl who gets along well with dogs and cats. The vet was very impressed with how calm and collected this sweet 5 month old kitten is, she has tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids, has been sterilised and received her first set of vaccinations. Amelia is now renamed Lady Amelia because now that we got to know her, she is nothing but a lady. Her foster mom says she uses the litter tray like a lady, eats like a lady and generally behaves like a lady. Amelia was visiting someone's garden frequently and when he realised she was pregnant, he took her to the CAMC. She was advertised for weeks to try and find her owner but unfortunately the few calls we got for her was from people who's missing cats were all sterilised. Amelia is now up for adoption. Di is a sweet little 9 week old girl that likes to sit on your lap and be cuddled. She likes purrrring loud and licking fingers when she is happy. She is not shy, but likes to play hide and seek - behind blankets and pillows and would peep to see if you are playing along. Di likes to run up and down with her toys, her favourite being anything that makes a little noise, like the Christmas decoration ball and the soft ball filled with seeds. She likes high places and likes running up and down the scratch pole, which is also her preferred sleeping spot. Di is waiting for someone's warm lap for Winter coming.
