PORTLOCKS VOYAGE 1789 FIRST EDITION Publisher J Stockdale and G.Goulding 1789  Book condition Hardcover 384 pp plus appendices 384 mm by 150 mm  Front board very poor and is loose from the rest of the book There is a lot of foxing and discolouration  5 Maps  Some tears to  folding maps  First two pages also separated from binding  Next two pages have been removed.Calf spine which is poor. The book is still quite tight Captain Portlock 1748-1817 Commanded the King George  to explore the Northern Coasts of  America  and to promote the fur trade. He sailed from Gravesend on 29 August 1785 returning to England 1788. I have also added what looks like part of a letter.    Its still a fantastic read ! and is still despite condition very collectible.
