WOOD LATHE BOWMAX 800 MM BED, 400 WATT MOTOR, 5X CHISELS IN SOUTH AFRICA

I'm selling a Bowmax wood lathe with a 800 mm bed and a 400 Watt motor. The Distance over centres is 165 mm, so you can turn bowls up to 330 mm diameter. Compared with new wood lathes in the same range, which have usually only 250 Watts, the 400 Watt motor is a huge advantage. Speed control is via belt and pulley in the motor enclosure. I've just checked the function and all connections and have replaced worn out screws and washers. There is no discernible run-out at the spindle, the lathe runs smooth and very quiet. This lathe works as well as it looks. With the lathe (mounted on a chipboard) come a face plate and 5 chisels. The chisels are not world class but will get you started with turning.
