WATERLOO MEDAL ENSIGN WILLIAM MILNE IN SOUTH AFRICA
Superb Waterloo Medal to. Ensign William Milne 42nd Regiment 2nd Battalion confirmed on the Medal Roll, however the Medal is engraved 92nd Regiment. The engravers sometimes made an error depending on the handwriting, I suppose maybe not difficult to do as there were the 42nd and 92nd Foot Guards involved in the Waterloo actions. The medal and engraved naming is original. The ring suspender has been replaced with the later version see photos. Buyer to pay postage
