WALLENBERG - A HERO'S STORY IN SOUTH AFRICA

Made-for-TV drama based on the life of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat credited with saving the lives of tens of thousands of Jews in World War II. Wallenberg (Richard Chamberlain), an architect and business man from a wealthy Swedish family, initially underestimates Hitler, like many in Europe, but as the Nazi regime seizes power in Germany and beyond, the Swede becomes increasingly concerned at their barbarity. Posted to Nazi-occupied Budapest as Sweden's special envoy, Wallenberg feels himself morally obliged to help those in need and puts himself at great risk to shelter countless Jews in danger of persecution.
