VINTAGE GEISHA HARD RESIN FIGURINE IN DE AAR

This is an exquisitely hand carved hard resin figurine of a Geisha. The condition overall is good. Over the years it might have been cleaned perhaps a little too well or was handled extensively as the darker stained finish that was applied to accentuate the shadows are mostly gone. Some remnants remain. The engraving on this piece is simply divine and the detail is superb. She stands about 32 cm tall and the engraved base adds another 3.5 cm of height, making this figuring approximately 36 cm. It also looks like this piece was signed by the artist, however that would need to be independently verified. A beautiful piece of art from the East to add to your collection.
