VINTAGE ELGIN 1924 TRENCH WATCH---NOT WORKING IN SOUTH AFRICA

A highly collectable vintage Elgin Trench watch manufactured in 1924 according to its serial number 26908289 and will soon celebrate its centenary.   Original Porcelain Dial with some very faint hair line cracks, dial looks cream in color, due to aged yellowing crystal but is in fact white. Probably why images not so sharp. Nice numerals with the red 12 and vintage black hands. Case is a wire lug Keystone gold filled hinged case and numbered 4515400 in nice condition.and measures 30mm excluding crown. Movement is a high grade vintage movement signed Elgin Natl Watch Co. U.S.A with its serial number. NB Balance wheel is good and swings freely.This watch was sitting in storage for many years and will need to be serviced and repaired as stem section needs attention also and therefore being auctioned as not working. This Elgin is certainly worth the effort especially for those who have the know how or a good watchmaker. I am including the strap but cuff section not matched.
