VACANCY: CLOTHING MERCHANDISER – DURBAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

An experienced and dynamic apparel merchandiser is sought for a large and established Durban-based Clothing Company. REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Clothing Merchandiser. · Matric + Clothing Management /Fashion Degree/Diploma. · Essential experience with: o Bottoms wear – both ladies and men. o Denim wear – wash types, laundry requirement etc. · Excellent communication skills. · Sourcing and costing of products and fabrics. · Research local and international trends. · Create storyboards/styles/CADs and customer profiles to meet customer requirements and within budget constraints. · Manage all department costs. · Manage fabric and garment stock levels. · Compile product budgets. · Collecting garment specifications according to customer requirements.
