On the obverse there are: above - the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ (National Bank of Ukraine), below - the coin face value 2/¿¿¿¿¿¿ (2/hryvnias) and the National Bank of Ukraine Mint logo, to the left - the coin issue year 2010; in the centre there is depicted searchlighted La-7 aircraft (side number 27), which was piloted by I.M.Kozhedub.
