Being a son of the Ukrainian Carpathian region, Yurii (Osyp) A.Fedkovych is a folk author, one of the pioneers of the national Renaissance in Bykovyna region.On the coin obverse a composition is depicted which personifies a patriotic, heroic and romantic trend in the creative work of Fedkovych: a horseman holding a hatchet in his hand defending swallows from a bird of prey.
