The personality of Ulas Samchuk is one of the most distinctive among Ukrainian prose writers of 20th century. He is the author of memoirs, trilogy novel `Volyn`, `Maria`story, `Listen, listen, Moscow speaking` plays, `One can hear the noise of the Millstones`, etc.On the coin obverse there is a composition, conventionalized like covers of the writer`s first editions - books with horsemen on their both sides.
