He became one of the founders of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and later on its president. Narbut made sketches of the Ukrainian banknotes in the time of the Ukrainian People`s Republic (UPR) and developed a set of the national symbols.On the coin obverse a fragment of 1918 design banknote is depicted - a peasant woman and a workman against the background of a garland of flowers and fruits, above which there are the year of issue - 2006, the Small National Emblem of Ukraine and semicirclar inscription: ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ (National Bank of Ukraine); beneath: 2/ ¿¿¿¿¿¿ (2 / hryvnia) and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.On the coin reverse there is Heorhii Narbut`s portrait in silhouette, to the right - the coat of arms of the family of Narbuts, thereunder - the years of life: 1886/1920 and the inscription: ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿ (Heorhii Narbut) located as a semicircle. ____________________________________________________  Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
