It may not have the best looks but it sure makes up for it in taste. The tomatoes are reddish-brown with green shoulders and the interior is dark red. The flavour is rich an pleasant and is excellent for salads and sandwiches. The plants have good yields of slightly flattened globe shape tomatoes. Some say it is the best tasting of all the dark tomatoes. The fruits have a rich, salty, smokey flavour.
