SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR / TESTER IN SOUTH AFRICA

The successful applicant will become an installations and testing specialist for the Rocketseed product. It is an ideal opportunity for a person who has experience in systems administration and understands Microsoft Exchange environments. This is a full-time sysadmin/testing position and will be based in the Rocketseed development office in Cape Town. Rocketseed is a worldwide organization, with branches in US, UK and Australia as well as South Africa. The system uses entirely open-source components code and integrates with numerous third party email packages including Exchange. Broad knowledge of networking, email clients and email transfer protocols will be essential. Responsibilities: Seek and report on bugs in the UI Seek and fix bugs and deficiencies in technology implementations, and propose long term resolutions for more intricate problems. Support developers in integration of their products Helping with 2nd level support - investigating reasons, work-arounds and fixes for critical problems Assisting with patch roll outs Experience and Skills Required: N+ Certification Linux: Ubuntu 12.04/14.04, Ora'cle 6/7, RedHat 6/7 Windows: Build Windows Servers - 2008, 2012, 2016 Virtualisation (ESX/VSphere & MS Hyper-V) Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016 Attributes: Self motivated and deadline orientated. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Code reviews are part of the development process. Good oral and written communication skills. Good problem solving and analytical skills.
