SAMSA approved 'R' (Dams and Rivers) and 'E' (1nm Sea) course. Next course - Saturday, 16 May If you answer no to any of the following questions, it means that you do not have a skipper license: Will you be legal when involved in an accident with your boat? Do you know all the laws, regulations and rules as specified by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA)? Do you know what safety equipment you need on your boat? Does your trailer have all the markings as specified by SAMSA? Do you know how to retrieve a stuck anchor? To operate a vessel, smaller or equal to 9 meters and with power of more than 15hp, on dams, rivers, sea and in harbours in South Africa, a skipper license is required. The penalties for operating without a license are high and inspectors are clamping down on those operating without a license. Our helpful instructors will take you through the theory, practical demonstration and prepare you to successfully write the exam. Ladies welcome.
