SADF DAYGLO MATERIAL MINT CONDITION IN SOUTH AFRICA
Up for grabs on auction - a mint piece of SADF bushwar period dayglo material. This piece measures 155cm x 110cm. This orange hi-vis nylon material was tpically used by SADF troops to mark own positions to aircraft overhead and as a command and control tool for commanders on the ground. Many headress form the period had this material incoprorated in the inside and when the hat was reveresed then it was visible to overhead aircraft and helos. This material was also cut into larger pieces for use when mounted on vehicles for own forces recognition. Often used by special forces (the Recce's) and 32 Bn etc. in Angola and other operational areas as a vital tool for avoiding being targetted by own forces aircraft!
